My little girl played around with the remote controll

I wish I could post a solution, but I don't have one. I too have a Magnavox. About 6 months ago, once every 2 weeks or so, the screen would just go black- all but an inch or two on either side. Now, it seems like it's a weekly thing, sometimes every hour or two. As of tonight, it has happened twice in a matter of thirty minutes. It usually repairs itself if I turn it on and then off again but that's just not working anymore. If anyone has a solution, let me know.

Hello,
This type of issue is usually caused by blown capacitors on the power supply board. If you wan to do the repair yourself then go to our web site at: www.ccl-la.com/capacitors.htm and look at the pictures of what to look for in your monitor. Now open the unit and look for the power supply board, replace all parts hat look like the pictures and have even slightly bulging tops. The page on our wen site gives more information about the replacement parts. If you need to order parts we do stock them for same day shipping. If you don't want to do the repair yourself we do offer a repair service for your model for $45 plus return shipping. Let us know if you have any additional questions by email at [email protected].
I hope this helps you, if so please rate our solution.

Before
detaching the stand, unplug the AC cord from the AC INPUT terminal.
Before performing work spread cushioning over the base area to lay the
TV on. This will prevent it from being damaged.
With the tool you will be using to remove the stand remove the screws from the bottom back of the television and remove the stand.
