Was given a Coleman power drill, model CMD8189. The charger is inoperable. The two resisters on the charger internal circuit board have been fried. The resistor codes have been burnt off, so I cannot read the codes to see the resistor values. The capacitor is of size 60 nfarads. Do you have an electrical diagram of the circuit board or know the value of the two resistors? If so, please send the information to me at [email protected] Thank you and God bless you, Rick Eckelkamp 832 978-5514 1614 Pine Crest Drive Pearland, Texas 77581

I need the same, but found a Makita multi-voltage charger and have been able to use it. The package says It is for Makita batteries only. HItachi also makes a universal battery charger. I found both at my local Lowe's. The Makita was originally $69, but was marked down to $25. The Hitachi was around $70. You can find either one for good prices on Ebay or Amazon.

Good luck!

BAR-2030B2 charger technical specifications how many volts is the output

According to a review on Walmart.com that I found, the voltage is 8V. Using anything higher will fry stuff on the internal circuit board. As always, YMMV.

Will a ryobi 18 volt charger replace a coleman powermate battery charger? What's your problem?

They look different in their shape where the battery goes so I would say no. To be safe always use the charger from the same manufacturer. There are a few different types of batteries too so it is always best to use the model number of your original charger to search for the replacement.

C7 36 volt charger not working keeps blowing internal fuse

If the fuse is blowing before the battery is installed to charge, the problem lies on the circuit board. Since it is most likely a switch mode supply, you might try replacing the electrolytic capacitors first. Then check what should be a MOSFET, although some may have a regular bipolar transistor as well.

If the charger blows the fuse when the battery is installed for charging, the battery has some shorted cells that overloading the charger, or the contacts are distorted and being shorted by the battery

Looking for charger for cordless 19.2v drill

I couldn't find one, looking everywhere. The newer Coleman chargers are a different size. The red charging light would not come on. Using a meter, I figured out it wasn't the charger, but the power adapter. I found one online that fixed my problem and now I can charge my batteries for my Coleman impact drill. From Digikey.com

Charger not powering up, fuse is good?? what the f---?

Internal board fuse checked? This may/may not help?

Makita 1850 battery charger FIX. A friend asked me to check his charger unit which had failed after it had been connected to a portable petrol generator that incorrectly generated 317 Volts AC and not the usual 240 Volt AC. On the charger circuit board next to the transformer wire connection is a component marked F2; this is a 2.5Amp fuse covered with heat-shrink sleeving. This fuse had ruptured/blown. Also blown was Transistor Q1, a ''P'' Mosfet labelled IRF9Z24N and Schottky Diode D9 labelled SR560. Replacing these 3 items got the charger working again. NB Resistor R31 is only 0.1ohm - don't assume it's gone short circuit! NB. I'd presume that most other Makita chargers will have this heat-shrink sleeving ''camoflaged'' fuse on the input of the circuit board and it would definitely be worth checking if the charger has stopped working.
