Hi, the factory radio uses the illumination wire, but the aftermarket
radio does not. You have to make sure that wire is taped off so it
doesn't short the illumination circuit. Check your tail lights fuse.
If it's blown, pull the head unit and disconnect/tape off the
illumination wire (blue with a white stripe) from the factory harness.
Then put in a fresh fuse. If you have more questions, please specify
the model of the head unit.

On these combo units, the VCR will not play using component cables but the dvd's will play just fine.
What you need to do is run a pair of composite (Yellow, red and white) cables and use that for VCR and component (Green, blue, red, white and red) for the dvd player.
Make sure you switch the tv to the corresponding input.
DOES THE RADIO PLAY? HERE ARE THE FACTORY WIRING COLORS FOR THE RADIO HARNESS, RECHECK YOUR WORK. IF U FIND NOTHING THEN IF THE RADIO PLAYS THE CD PLAYER IS DEFECTIVE, IT HAPPENS BELIEVE ME.

Is the adapter getting hot ,then you replace the adapter else you can check the o/p of the adapter with help of multimeter it read 12 volts ,if it reads 12 then there is problem with tv itself..
Look at the enwood. I bet you have the remote wire hooked to the blue wire insted of the blue/white wire. The blue wire goes dad when you play a cd as it is for a power antenna. The blue/white wire is your amp turn on.
Now, if you do not have a blue/whie and only blue, then obviously that circuit in the radio is bad in whch case your only other option s are either connecting it to an accesory fuse or using a toggle switch connected to power.
your radio has 2 blue wires. one of them provides a 12 volt turn on for a power antenna (when a cd is inserted that 12 volt turn on turns off, because when a cd is playing, the antenna doesn't need to be raised up). The other blue wire has a 12 volt turn whenever the radio or the cd is turned on--this is the blue wire that you need to connect to your amp remote line. ( pull out the radio and switch the blue wires)
