Of course, the bypass is causing problems to check engine light comes on. the cause could be the thermostat also. do you replace it frequently? sometimes the temp sensor becomes dirty, I'm not sure about the location, would be one or two sensors.

Kia Picanto 1.1 won't start.

You need an auto-electrician to connect a code reader or a pro grade scan tool computer that can scan data in real time. It will tell what is happening when the car starts to fail.

Kia picanto lx

kia seems to do things somewhat right censor should be close to thermostat. look for wires going in around thermostat. Easy way to check. Bring motor to running temp.look or listen if fans or coming on. Also could be a relay in fuse box.Jump them over and see if fans come on. but that's another Q&A

My check engine light keeps coming on on my 2004 kia optima lx, 4 cylinder dohc, a little over 92000 miles on it. I had the codes checked and got this result: Code P0320 definition: ignition/distributor...

Check with the place that checked the codes for you. Maybe they can test the IG sensor for you. That might help. Otherwise check all the connections relating to the sensor.
