Effects won't work stuck on d2 - Behringer EURORACK UB2442FX PRO Mixer

Some possibilities:

• Damaged on the DC-IN socket.
• Broken solder joints on the center pin of the DC IN socket (see figure: pin 1 on DC208B).
• Damaged (broken) in D2 or R54

This mixer does not have inserts on the channels which you would normally use. Instead it has a single effects send and return, you set hw much is sent and returned on a per channel basis but unfortunately are stuck with just the one effects chain for all inputs.

If this is all you need then fine, you can apply your effects chain to all the inputs by as much or as little you want, this may work for echo and reverb on vocals or a single guitar on one input but for anything beyond this you are better off getting a decent mixer with proper inserts on all channels as well as sub and master inserts.

That button is probably stuck, dirty, keeping other buttons from changing it. It is a delicate operation but, if you can somehow open the unit and clean the switch under the button with some contact cleaner and free it up it will probably work. switches and buttons get dirty and corrode over time. Let me know you're outcome and we can troubleshoot further.

You would NOT connect an audio signal to the "send" jacks... those are OUTPUTS... In doing so you are driving signal backward enough to get to the headphones. Sends and returns are NORMALLY used on a mixer for external effects. You should either be using a LINE input jack or one for "tape input".

You can. If it is a tone control you may have a reduced effective rotation range. Probably this won't matter to most people. As a volume replacement, replacing with a lower value may reduce treble slightly, and a higher value increase treble slightly. It is quite a small effect though and you may even like it better.

Did you check the polarity of the adapter? The effect box uses inner pin for negative and outer barrel is positive which is oppsite from most consumer electronics.

You MAY have to exit the mode first to change it... Try pressing the sync-lock button to exit the mode before changing.

The D2 PROBABLY means "delay 2"... although the documentation is really poor... One has to read between the lines...
