I have a kenmore elite smartwash quiet pak9 he4t water wont drain on the final rinse cycle. The only error message i get a the letter F. Does anyone know what that means?

its a suds sensor error. meaning tom much or the wrong detergent was used and it has clogged the wash cycle, you will have to try to run rinse cycles over and over to u clean it out if u can, some machines have an auto clean cycle for this problem, it is difficult to deal with as I have the same issue with one of mine and still not running right

From what you're describing it sounds like the cold water line is blocked or restricted or the inlet electro valve is defective.. Most rinse cycles are cold fills. Another possibility is the drain hose is air tight or too low creating a siphon condition

It appears that a part of your question is cut off so i may be off base here but what i am reading is that your washer will go through the wash cycle and drain the wash water then just quit?? is that what is happeningIf yes that is whats going on i think what is happening is that after the wash cycle it fills with only COLD WATER for the rinse cycle and its not filling with the rinse water and just sits their until the rinse cycle water is filled and if its not getting cold water into the washer its not going to do anything If it is filling with cold water my apologies my bad for misinterpreting what the question reads and i ask ya to re-ask it.

This is symptomatic of a malfunctioning water control valve- not closing fully- the hot water one, if the washer is hot and cold fill, and the cold one if it is just cold fill!
Sorry but it needs replacing and a service call ;-0(

"F02" is a Long Drain error. This is an indication that there's an obstruction somewhere in the drainage system. Most commonly, the drain pump reservoir needs to be checked and cleaned. The access screws are on the bottom front edge of the lower toe panel directly below the door. You may need to prop up the two front feet of the washer to access them (a 2x4 works well for this). It does not take much to damage the pump impeller or motor. Since the error code is generated if the drain cycle exceeds 8 minutes, if the pump is damaged and can't pump at the required volume, the error code will continue to appear until the pump is replaced.
