It is silver and black. It has a spot to plug in a charger in the back and in the front it has a knob to turn for degree of brightness but when I turn it, it goes back to the off position.
Hi, I'm having a similar issue with my jeep lantern as well. It's actually a really nice lantern, however, when I plug it in with the power cord, it seems like it is A LOT brighter than when it's just running on batteries alone. When using the turn button, it does get brighter and dimmer, just not to the extent I would like it to be as I use the lantern at night as well to do things such as checking the mail and going to my vehicle. I feel much safer with the light at night, but obviously can't keep it plugged in when walking around my property. It just is not as bright running on just the batteries. I'm not sure if there is a mechanical error with the product, but I've never noticed the difference between the brightness until recently. I changed the batteries and it just didn't make a difference. Just wanting to get some advice to see what I could do to try and make the light brighter. Maybe it has to do with the new batteries I bought, however, they are GREAT batteries I purchased and I don't think that is the issue. Some suggestions would be helpful. :)
