I had this pressure washer unused in box for 2 years.
Opened it up last summer and ran well. Emptied gas and stored it over the winter.
This spring, changed the oil, new spark plug, added fresh gas. It starts with one pull, but only on choke. When I close the choke it stops.
Any thoughts on what's going on?
Thanks

You need to remove the carb bowl, then with a small flat screwdriver remove the jet. ( on the side, at the bottom of stem.) take a small wire or toothpick and clean the gunk out of the jet, reassemble and open fuel valve, start, and pat yourself on your back.
Dear desaisp,
Regarding the engine, all one has to do is tune it a bit. But I think the problem is in the PUMP.
When you run the engine and you close the choke...for some reason it is finding a hard load to continue. So you must see that all is good with the engine....but try it and start it with NO LOAD!! To do this remove the gun and water inlet. Now with no load the engine should continue working normaly. If this is so...then you must check the pump. You can experiment by adding the water supply and the gun. But when you start the engine keep the gun open with the lance and nozzel removed from gun. Then try again by adding the lance or/and nozzell, to add load.
The whole idea is to try and run the engine without load first. If there is a problem in the pump or it is jammed altogether....then a service to the pump must be made.

Grechhili.
I had the same issue. What I did was empty the gas from the carb. I found a little bit of water when I did this. I put in new gas and she runs just fine.

Thanks for your reply.
I have tried with and without load. Exact same behavior.
Last night tried a little Seafoam to clean the carb. No effect.
Any ideas on what/how to tune-up for the engine would be appreciated?
Same thing is happening to me this morning. Runs only when choked. When you push the choke in, it dies. I was using my pressure washer just fine for about an hour when it died.
Have you gotten yours fixed? Any help would be great.
