I can not copy from glass scanner of HP L 7680 all in one, when I load paper into the lid then press copy, printer just load paper in ADF not run copy from glass scanner

Is your system on? If it is on, then you press copy, it scans it and a window showing your scanned document is displayed. Then from here (the system) you can print it. Try it and tell me what happens.

HP6310 does not scan or copy using flatbed glass

Hi

Try connecting the printer to a direct wall outlet and not to a surge protector

try a partial reset

for this
you need to unplug the power cable from the printer
press and hold the # and the 3 buttons on the front panel and then replug the cable,
do not release the fingers until you see the LCD lit up.

let the printer initialize itself and then try making a black and white copy
if it makes a copy ,it should definitely scan now.
for any clarifications or assistance ,feel free to contact me.

Scanner not responsive. You can choose to have the document scanned to your PC but nothing happens and either location.

Hi, we need to check first if this issue is caused by the scanner it self or by the scanner driver. Please try the following to check if your scanner is physically functioning or not:

Basic Copying
1. Open the scanner lid.
2. Place your document face-down on the glass. Move your document about 0.1 inch from the top and side edge so your entire document is scanned.
3. Close the scanner lid.
4. Be sure the COPY button is lit. The default copy settings are displayed on the control panel.
5. Press the Color Copy button (for color copies) or B&W Copy button (for black and white copies). Your document is scanned and then printed.
Note: Depending on the copy settings chosen, your copied image size may not be the exact same size as your original.
If the image was successfully copied please uninstall the scanner driverm download the latest driver in http://support.epson.com and install it. Try scanning.

If the issue still present we will need to ensure the scanner is being recognized correctly. Have you had any other scanners installed on the computer previously? We would suggest checking the DEVICE MANAGER for any conflicts.

Get to the Device Manager by:
1. Right-Clicking on MY COMPUTER
2. Left-click on PROPERTIES.
3. Click on the HARDWARE tab, then DEVICE MANAGER.
In the Device Manager please for the following:
1. Any yellow or red X's, question marks or exclamation marks.
2. Under the Category of Imaging Devices - Check for Epson Product name.
If IMAGING DEVICES is listed, test the scanner from PAINT.

To scan in paint:
1. Click on START > ALL PROGRAMS > ACCESSORIES > PAINT.
2. Click on FROM SCANNER OR CAMERA.
3. Choose COLOR PHOTO.
4. Scan.

It is also possible your Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service is not started.

To start this process please follow the steps listed bellow.
1. Click on Start, go to Control Panel.
2. In the Control Panel window you will Performance and Maintenance, please left click that option.
3. Next we are looking for Administrative Tools, please left click on that option.
4. We are looking for the Services icon please left on that icon.
5. In the Services window we are going to scroll down to the bottom and look for the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) Service, Please Right click it with your right mouse button.
6. We want to select the STOP option with your left mouse button.
7. Next we want to Right click on the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service again and select the START option with your Left mouse button please.

Scanner failure message.

Scanner Failure, Power Off and On' Message Displays on the Control Panel when Copying or Scanning

Issue
The message 'Scanner failure, Power off and on' displays on the control panel of the product.
This error usually occurs when trying to scan, to make copies, or during the product start up.
Try the solutions in this document until the issue is resolved. It is not necessary to continue to the next solution if one solution resolves the issue.
Solution one: Check the scanner light
Make a color copy of any document by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the control panel. While the product is making the copy, slightly lift the scanner lid to see if the scanner light is visible.
CAUTION: Do not look directly at the light. It is not necessary to completely open the lid to see the light.
If the scanner mechanism moves across the scan bed, but the light is not lit, click here to service the product .
Solution two: Check operating conditions
Extreme temperatures can affect the operation of the product. Make sure the operating conditions match those recommended in the User Guide provided with the product.
Solution three: Check the power connections

1.
Make sure that the product is connected directly to a grounded wall outlet and not plugged into a power strip.
2.
Make a color copy by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the control panel.
3.
If the error message persists, temporarily move the product to a different room or outlet, and then make a color copy by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the control panel.
4.
Check the part number on the power supply to make sure that it matches the part number listed in the User Guide.

Solution four: Perform a power cycle

1.
Turn the product off.
2.
Unplug the power cord from the product.
3.
Wait 30 seconds, and then reconnect the power cord to the product.
4.
Turn the product on.
5.
Make a color copy by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the control panel.

Solution five: Reset the product
Follow these steps to reset the product.
Step one: Perform a partial reset

1.
Unplug the power cord from the product.
2.
Press and hold # and 3 while plugging in the power cord.
3. Make a color copy of any document by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the control panel.
If the partial reset resolves the issue, do not continue to the semi-full reset.

Step two: Perform a semi-full reset

Unplug the power cord from the product.
2.
Press and hold # and 6 while plugging in the power cord.
3. Make a color copy of any document by pressing the Start Copy Color button on the control panel.

Problems

Switch the unit. let it rest for half an hour. While it is resting check the manual for any 'faults' list. Look for a 'reset' command - may be mean pressing several buttons while the machine is off and then with the buttons still pressed switch on the machine[you may need two hands and a nose or three hands for this ;-)] If still out of luck go to places for further info HP technical support team or www,fixyourownprinter.com

Printer will not copy or scan but will print

Hi John, Even if you have deleted them by accident, you can always reinstall using the CD that came with the printer/scanner. If you want to do a clean install, then you would probably have to uninstall also the printer drivers and start from scratch. You may also not uninstall and set it up again. If you go this route, it is also possible that you will have two icons in your printer folder of the same hp printer. Assuming nothing is wrong with the hp, the scanner drivers and app would be reinstalled and presumably you will have access now to your copy/scan functions. Should like to download the installer/driver for you printer/scanner, it is available at (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&dlc=en&product=79488&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN). You would have to select your operating system. Hope this works for you. Pls post again how things turn up. Kind regards.
