Is the 1 placed infront of the number, is the line part of a PBX system requiring to dial a 9 to get a outside line.

Do you have to dial a code for long distance access?

No, but I believe you can password protect the PRINT JOURNAL feature or forward it to another fax machine.

Key in fax number press PAUSE twice then access code then start.
