Faxing with a long distance code

Using a Brother fax 1170- cannot fax long distance as a result of a long distance code required. How do I dial/program the long distance code?

After you dial the number you hit the pause button (usually 1-2 times) then dial additional numbers.


basically everytime you need the machine to wait for something to happen you need to hit pause

example: i have to dial five digit access code for my fax for LD calls it would be dialed on fax like this


1-234-567-8901 pause pause 12345 start
