When trying to increase the speed in slow increments on our CardioZone FastTrack Elite II, it will occasionally increase in speed very dramatically, say from 2mph to 8mph. Any suggestions as to what can be done to correct this problem?
This could be cused by the the display cover you touch to control the functions pressing on the touch switch array just under it. Carefully remove this. it is held on by adhesive and see if the symptom goes away. If it does, look for any dents on the cover. I have worked with these type of switches for nearly 20 years and they can be problematic. The other possibility is the mechanical switches you use to increase/decrease speed or tilt. They plug in seperately and you can disconnect them to see if they are causing the problem.
SOURCE: rhythmic thumping noise with increased speed
The problem is the rear roller has a bad bearing and needs to be replaced
SOURCE: my york pacer 2750 will not change speed, speed
Unplug unit pull your motor shroud off then inspect the motor pulley assembly plug in your unit while you rotate your speed handle you should be able to see the mechanical adjusting working if not then that mechanism needs repairing
SOURCE: speed sensor error
Your speed sensor may have failed and cause this condition Call Accell Fitness Of North America @ 1-888-388-6887 they are the Tunturi Distributors

If this is the same problem you had prior to replacing the MCB and speed sensor. I would check the drive motor, unplug unit then remove motor shroud then unplug the connectors leading to the motor itself. If you have wire leads and a 18v drill battery connect the leads into motor then attach the other end to you battery and if the motor will rotate ( approx. 1mph) , if it does the check speed sensor to see if the correct spacing between sensor and front roller ( check if the magnet has not fallen out of front roller pulley this also can cause you problems) hope this help!!
