This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input/device and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source.
Ok this is the million dollar answer! First check solder connection at connector "DY" on the Yokes. 2nd check C411 which is a 2200uf@35v cap and the C412 10uf@50v on main PCB. Change anyway. This should fix your set, but if not you need live chat!Ok this is the million dollar answer! maybe the problem is in the cathode light located on the top of your screen. Is there a signal light on your T.V? a green light or maybe a red? if there is a green light then we can say that the problem is the the cathode light or maybe the power supply of the cathode light is defective in that case we can use a power supply of a cathode light that usually used in motorcycle as a signal light. If the signal light is red maybe the problem is in the power supply or maybe the main board of your T.V. Hope this may help you.
The amber light means the cover is not closed all the way. Something is preventing the cover from staying latched closed - it's releasing just enough to activate the cover-open sensor. Maybe check if you can see anything broken where the cover latches shut.
Try removing the motherboard from the screens and attach the battery the green light should turn on and stay on.
Now attach the lower screen and turn on. If the screen is ok the screen and green light will flash and then turn off. (if the screen doesn't flash the bottom screen is you're problem and will have to be replaced)
If this happens the problem is then you're top screen which you will have to replace.
CHECK THE FUSE ON THE INVERTER BOARD, IFHIS DOESNT IT SOLVE IT REPLACED THE CAPACITORS, IF STILL SAME PROBLEM, THEN YOUR BACKLIGHTS ARE SHOT, HAVE THEM REPLACED
Sounds like the green picture tube is arking or shorting out and at that very second the safety circuit senses the problem and makes the complete set turn off,the only way to repair is the replacement of the green picture tube and it can be too expensive.Maybe if you move the complete set from one side of the room to another you might get lucky.Maybe!!!!!!!!!!! is worth to try.
