Help with front panel cables connection, case to mainboard.

You will need adobe reader, to read the content.

The manual should show you how to connect the cables to the mainboard.

Try to renew the power supply.
I think that`s why the mainboard is not having any power.
Look also for the front panel on off connector, is not connected wrong.

If no luck changeing the power supply, the mainboard probably has a internal fault, and must be renewed.

This mainboard is a OEM manufactured by msi for NEC.
The support belongs to nec, and there is nothing to be found at the msi homepage.

Basicly its just to connect the 20 or 24 pin power connector, and the 4 pin atx power supply.
Next connect the power to the dvd and harddrive.
Then connect the data cable from the drives to the mainboard.

The front panel connector looks like this:



This is basicly the same for all msi mainboards.

Next you can power up the pc, and enter the bios and set the boot order ( press the delete button when posting )

Lay the windows disk in the dvd drive, and leave the bios and save your settings.
Now your ready to install windows.

The most important cables only FIT one plug. If it fits in one but will not fit in ANY others. Thats probably where it goes.
If you need to know which wires for your case such as front usb slots try this pinout diagram

Otherwise you will need to be more specific.

Does the processor fan come on? If so you need to replace motherboard. If fan does not come on need to verify that all connectors are correct and let me know.

Follow that arrows on the pictures. Plug the USB Front Panel Cable.

At the bottom of the page is the heading, Manual

Some cases come with a Mic & speaker jack/ cable. These jacks sit within the case. Rather than using the rear Mic which is (colored pink) & speaker (colored green). These 2 colored cables run from the front of the case & out through an emty hole in the back of the case. Which you connect them to the rear of the boards Mic in (pink) & sound (green). Now you can use your front audio jacks for both mic & sound. This may sound strange but I have come across many cases just like this. Its not uncommon to have 2 front usbs & a 1394 connect on to the board as well. Without your manual I'm sorry I can not help you fauther.
