Check heating element, on most dishwashers there is only one element, also if element is fine check thermal cut outs

Restarting the dishwasher

Hi Kathleen,

Welcome to Fixya, you came to the right place.

I`m not sure what model you have, but typically you should be able to select another cycle by choosing a button and pressing it twice quickly.

For instance if you want`"normal" press the normal button twice in 2-4 seconds and it should go to normal cycle.

Let me know how you make out. Good luck and thanks for visiting "fixya".

Please take moment and rate this solution favorable if indeed it helped you, if not let me know and we`ll move forward from here.

Bosch dishwasher she45m

Just bought a Bosch dishwasher and we were told that they have no heating mechanism to dry the dishes, which is why they are more energy efficient.  You are supposed to leave the door closed for at least one hour after the cycle is complete.  The heat that has built up inside during the wash cycle will dry the dishes.  It is also recommended to always use JetDry. If you follow this advice, the dishes will come out fine.

Bosch classixx slimline dishwasher not running through cycle

fault is that there is a leak. the tray at base of dishwasher is full of water which operates a float and turns on drain pump. tilt over 45deg and water will run out and then it will work or remove bottom front panel and mop out (better). then find leak
