When DVDR ON, Sky picture is poor. When DVDR plays picture is green tinted. Previously a DVD was connected in the same way and DVD picture had red tine, but thyis DVD is now ok into another TV by scart connection. Is the sequence right for DVDR etc? and how can I get the picture to be normal?

I cant see any problem with the connections. have you tried to connect the dvdr along with sky to another tv set? and did the same problem occured? if not, try connecting it the same way with another tv. and see if thesame problem would occur. if the same problem appears check if the connections from sky to dvdr scart if it is loose or not. try to clean the solid wire of the cable. if proble still persists dvdr is faulty. if not, defenitely there is a problem with the tv. and i suggest for you to have it checked.

Tv dvd and sky box

isn't there any manual/ book?
To connect TV to Sky Box VCR, connect the SCART lead from the AV1 socket on the TV to the TV SCART socket on the Sky Box. Connect another SCART lead from the AV2 socket on the TV to the AV1 socket on the DVD player and an RF cable from VCR to the aerial in socket on the TV.

How to connect Sky digibox & DVD recorder to Samsung UE46ES6300 TV

Buy 2 hdmi leads and use one to connect sky TV decoder to the hdmi 1 socket on the back of the TV and if your DVd recorder has an hdmi socket attach it to hdmi 2 or leave it on the scart socket
as you don't name your dvd recorder the connections available are unknown
hdmi is the best followed by component which requires a 3 cable lead 3 video (video is red green blue plugs ) audio is red and white which is a 2 wire lead which all are needed to get video and audio to your TV
scart is the lowest quality along with composite video

I have a baird OR42BAFHD tv and am trying to connect it to my hi-fi. The hi-fi only has the usual auxillary red and white input jacks but i cannot see were i can connect them to the tv which has several...

Hdmi is digital minded while your hi-fi is analogue signals, you have two possible options I think if your TV has no phono audio out.

Your scarts (number 1 only) will have analogue in's and out's a scart lead with audio in/out to phono (come with a switch mostly) or adaptor is required some I have seen at one time had a plug one end and socket the other with output phono's in the middle, so to monitor signals going each way (TV > VCR or VCR > TV).
If you are not using the scart then just a simple scart to phono will do, note scart sockets on an TV only one will give an output.

The other route is a converter for hdmi a device that will convert digital signals to analogue, while the video element can have problems (on cheap units) through poor design/technicals the audio should present no problem, look for hdmi to audio converters.

Hope this helps.........

No sound with wii

if you do not have the red/white socket on the rear of the tv(audio in) then you could use a scart adapter. it will have the 3 connections on the rear of a scart head. most flat panel tvs have the 3 connections on the side or the front under a flap.

Hi Martin,

A wiring Schematic is not that you should be looking. What you need is large feeders to understand hot to connect to various ports to give your desired output.

Can't re patch tv with set top box to watch tv

Hi.

Ok here goes.

1) Take airial lead from the wall socket in to antenna in on freeview box.

2) connect short usually black airial type lead in to antenna out socket on freeview. plug the other end of this lead in to aerial in on vcr.

3) connect the other end of this aerial type lead to airial plug on the back of tv.

4) now if you have 2 or more scart sockets on the back of tv set plug in the scarts in this order.
Freeview box scart with tv on it connect to scart 1 on tv set.
Freeview box vcr scart connect to vcr in scart socket on vcr.
Vcr scart marked tv plug scart from here to scart 2 on tv
If you have 3 scart sockets on tv you can connect dvd using scart to scart socket 3 on tv.

If Tv has only 1 scart the aerial leads will stay the same as I have stated,
Freeview must go to scart socket on tv set.
leave second scart from freeview to vcr plugged in so you can record freeview by putting vcr to line 1 or AV 1.
you will need to put tv on channel (0) & tune this channel to the video play a tape that you recognise then go to tv tuning & tune tv untill you see video playing then store this on channel (0).
DO NOT USE AUTO TUNING IT WILL PUT CHANNELS IN THE WRONG ORDER JUST USE MANUAL TUNING.

Now to view Dvd you will either need to purchase A scart switch box. Or have keep unpluging freeview scart from tv so you can plug in dvd .

If your tv has red yellow white phono sockets you can plug dvd in to these, you may need to purchase phono leads.

Hope this helps.
