SOURCE: tv always turn off

Here this coveres all the error codes.
Pressing the front panel "INPUT" and "MENU" buttons at the same time, and holding for 5 seconds, activates the Error Code Mode. The LED flashes denoting a two digit Error Code, or indicating no problem has occured since the last Initalization.
Note: The front panel buttons must used, NOT those on the Remote Control.
1â• The number of flashes indicates the value of the MSD (tens digit) of the Error Code.
2â• The flashing then pauses for approximately 1/2 second.
3â• The LED then flashes indicating the value of the LSD (ones digit) of the Error Code.
4â• The Error Code is repeated a total of 5 times.
Example: For Error Code is "24", the LED will flash 2 times, pause, and then flash 4 times.

The Error Code designations indicating a malfunction, or no malfunction, are listed below:
"12" ... indicates no error has occured.
"21" ... X-Ray Protect circuit.
"22" ... Short Protect circuit.
"23" ... Horizontal Deflection failure.
"24" ... Vertical Deflection failure.
If you find this helpful please accept this solution and let me know if you need any further assistance.

Lee

Error code 24

2,4 is one of 5 error codes and means:

2blink-then 4 blink---------vertical circuit problem

The set may have a loss of sweep or even Glycol may have leaked from the picture tube above it onto the board in that area.

Vertical circuit is on middle board at front right edge.

Mitsubihsi WS 55311 will not give codes when pressing the input/menu buttons on TV. Tv will shut down in about 5 mins the I canturn it back on. After I press the buttons on the TV it will stay on for a...

This is a V20 chassis and if it shuts down it should trigger an error; note if no error the power light should blink 1, 2 pause and repeat it several times---this is no error found.

I would unplug the set for a few minutes (this clears the error buffer) and turn on again and wait for failure; you must push menu and input and hold for at least 5 seconds and let both go.

IF no error code this is a model made around 2002 (date will be on back of set) and it must display some error code.

If you find none I can suggest looking for any signs of Glycol leaks inside the set. If you need to know what to look for let me know and I will tell you.

Again: All models after 2000 (and some before) have the error buffer.

Let me know if you have questions.

The green power light would come on, with no picture, for 3-5 seconds and then the power and the green light would turn off. I have reset the TV by unplugging for a little while but that has not helped.

When power light goes out on front of set press both the menu and input (device) buttons at the same time for at least 5 seconds and release both buttons.

The power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and then repeat it several times.

Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it means.

If this told you something you did not know rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.

Model WS-55322 screen blinks, volume is not interupted, just the picture. Also, the volume will either go all the way down or up to max on it's own.

buttons on the front are likely bad. use this to help find the plug to unhook and hopefully it will work with the remote still

Green lite turns on for 2 second and then turns

Please listen and try this:

When the power light comes on and goes off, on the front of the set press BOTH the Menu and Input (Device) buttons at the SAME time and HOLD them both for at least five seconds and then release both.

The power light will blink a two digit error code and will repeat it about 5 times. To get it to repeat you would have to unplug the set and turn it on again etc.

The most common error is 2 blinks, pause, 2 blinks.

Let me know what error code you find and I will direct you as to what it means and what may have to be done.

TV WON'T TURN ON

You might have a bad power supply or convergence circuit, I also suggest you to check for fluid spill on the circuit board. if the convergence is defective one of the 5A picofues on the power supply is open. Hope this help you.
