I have a SIMONIZ S2000 electric. I bought the unit about 8 weeks ago used it once. On the second use yesterday the unit didn't work as well, the pressure seemed only a bit better than hose pressure and soap did not dispense at any pressure. SO.... after much thought I turned the hose/tap pressure down so that I only got about 2-3 GPM instead of the typical 5-6GPM normally coming out of my hose....... it worked! Soap dispenses and spay is way better! It seems that if if the inlet hose pressure is high the pump doesn't work as well... go figure.

SOURCE: Where is the pressure switch located on a simoniz

There is a pressure switch to cut the motor once target pressure is reached. I.e. when the nozzle is closed. It's a black cheap plastic thing, right in front of the pump body. It has a white plastic lever to trip the switch. It was sticking intermittently on mine. the simoniz 1600 is quite a cheap peace of ****, needs fiddling around every time I use it

I have 5.5hp briggs&stratton pressure washer Simoniz S2350. Would you know the PSI for this item?

Every 5.5 HP pressure washer runs between 2,200 and 2,500 PSI with most set by the manufacturer at 2,400 PSI with 3,600 RPM of engine speed.

Due to the power required to produce more than 2,500 PSI a 5.5 HP engine would lose engine speed as it can not produce enough power for the higher PSI output. It is a matter of hydraulics vs input power.

Any gas pressure washer will produce lower pressure with lower engine RPM. Looking at S2350 as your model number yours may be set to 2,350 PSI by Simoniz.

Thanks for using FixYa.

S1600 Simoniz gun - I took it apart and I have a spring left - where does it go? I need a schematic or something.

There are no schematics available because the manufacturer doesn't sell parts for the gun. The spring usually goes right into the end of the hose, then the little bullet like valve follows. Did you know you can buy a new gun for about $22.00 Canadian?
