We bought a Smart TV this weekend and NetFlix was working fine.. Now tonight12/11/2013 we are unable to load Netflix.We press on Net Flix Logo; it starts to download Netflix but then the screen goes blank - black screen. We keep going back and repeating the process and the same thing happens again.

How to connect net flix

You need a smart TV that has the Netflix app such as a Samsung or Sony, or a media player that has Netflix, such as an Oppo or similar. There are many media players that connect to Netflix so just buy the one that suits you and connect it to your TV. You will of course also need an internet connection and a decent download allowance.

Alternatively buy a chromecast and connect your phone, ipad, tablet or pc to it and stream Netflix.

No, but most Blu-ray players are "smart" players and include a Netflix app as well as other services such as HULU, Amazon, etc. Usually, the Blu-ray player will have stickers or or emblems printed on the box or the on the player itself with "Netflix" , etc.
Connect the Blu-ray player to the TV using an HDMI cable. Connect the Blu-ray player to your router/home network with an ethernet cable or wirelessly if your player has built-in Wi-fi. Once that is done you can go to the Main Menu on the player and select Netflix. That should open the Netflix app and connect you for watching Netflix.

Your tv is not on the internet. Sure your wi fi is working. But if the tv set's wi fi is not connected then you will never connect with net flix.

What do I need to do to get net flix on my tv?

if your tv is a smart tv then chances are you allready have the software preloaded just follow the prompts to get signed up , if your tv's not "smart" things are slightly more complex but still possible , most folks connect thru there childrens game consoles (tv has to be set to recieve game console) and the software is loaded in the game console , follow the prompts to sign up ! and last but not least the most complex but now becomming more popular method , using a digital media player to load the software from your internet connection onto it and then followiing the prompts to sign up

last but not least step what ever method you decide to use , write down your chozen username and password in a safe place that only you will know , dont just rely on tv or device to "remember it for you" someday you'll be sorry you did that !!!

well no, you need to use another source on the second tv for Netflix to come in. I have the Vizio smart tv with Netflix built in and I use the Roku box on my 2nd tv.

I just bought a Samsung BD P1590 Blue ray Disc Player. Where do I get my activation code for Net Flix? I am a paid member.

if you have the netflix logo on the player then connect a cat5 cable from your router to the back of your player to hook it to the internet. It will download an update with your approval if its a success then your TV connect to anynet which will load then display if you would like to search youtube, anynet, netflix, or blockbuster. Select netflix and it will go through a series of legal stuff. press next, next, next and then it will give you a code screen displayed on the tv. Go to your computer and access your netflix account and you should see the tab labeled " instantly to your tv" Follow the instructions and it will give you a code which you will then have to enter on your tv. If you go to netflix.com and login you will be able to click "your account and help" at the top right. Then you login with your WII and a code will come up. You enter that code into the website and netflix will be activated on your WII. You may have to use a VPN server that will make your WII look like its in the US but I'm not sure. You can google "VPN servers" and find several. Good luck :-)

I tried everything to fix the 1001 error, and finally fixed it by simply uninstalling silverlight, then RUNNING THE INSTALLER AS ADMINISTRATOR. Boom.

Probably not. Netflix licenses the right to stream in specific regions/countries. Most likely, the app will sense that you are in a foreign country and display a message stating: "content can not be displayed to to legal restrictions/territories".
