Restore to factory setting brought second hand now locked

'when you say it does not connect, do you mean to internet ?
are you experiencing a lock out due to Apple ID verification? If this is an iCloud/Apple ID problem, I recommend you call Apple to try and unlock the unit ..telephone number is at end of my message
Here are a couple things to try assuming you are not locked out of the unit:
1)'try turning off the iPad completely...wait 15 seconds..turn back on
2) if that fails to correct the connectivity issue, try going to settings>general>reset> reset network settings and see if that works
3) if it still doesn't want to connect to internet , you should plug into computer and restore the unit to factory settings using iTunes program
4) lastly, you can always get FREE support for the iPad at 1-800-APLCARE or download the Apple Support app in the App Store ..someone will walk you through the steps while you are trying to solve this ..best of luck :)

factory settings must be restored.

You have to hold the center button and the top one for 10 seconds and it should reset.

I'm going to guess that your ipod is a stolen one.

You can get past the passcode by restoring, but this will only work with the computer that last synced it.

Hand it in to the cops, and if no one claims it, you should be able to keep it.

All ipods have a serial number, so if it turns up a tech person can check against a database to see if it's missing.

If you can't remember your lock code on your Nano, you will have to restore the Nano via iTunes, there is no other way around this, as there is no way to recover your lock code.
Restoring your Nano will erase everything on the player, and restore it to factory defaults, after this is done you can restore all your files and settings to your Nano.

DVD players don't need parental locks. When a user places a DVD player in Parental Lock mode, they usually create a 4-digit access code to remove the lock. Without the manual, I can't tell you how to reset to factory settings...what you need is either the access code or to reset it.

If it came direct from the factory with a parental lock already on, try the code "0000". If you need more digits, just use 0 until all of the slots are filled. If 0 does not work, try all 1s or 9s.
