You can easily get a complete door from an auto wrecker that will be far better than a reskinned door. I didn't think they even did that anymore. You may even be able to get one the same as your existing color so that you wouldn't even have to worry about paint fade differences. Most auto wreckers are on a network and they can put your request out to the whole area and likely come up with one. If the used door route is not an option, then "new" is the only way I would go.

I do not think it is the door lock that is faulty, more likely to be a weak or broken door spring or broken door catch.
I would replace these first,and then if it is still the same, then replace the door lock.
To replace the spring and or handle catch, undo all the screws that secure the 2 halves of the door, and prize apart the 2 halves,
Replace the spring and catch, reassemble the door.
