How to reset VSX 8000 to factory default - Forgot the password

1. Press the "ENTER" button until pop-up the LON-IN window. (About 5 sec.)
2. The Admin password will be initialized to Factory Default. (Default Password : 0000)
3. Change the admin password in the MENU\SYSTEM\USER. http://www.dvscctv.com/Engineering_Service_Manual_for_KE-8000_20071002.pdf

Not in English, but the video shows you how to factory reset it. This will clear all settings and will default the admin user and password to the original defaults before you changed them.

Your VSX 6000 does not support Multipoint. YOu will have to move up to the VSX 7000 or 8000. The VSX 7000 supports MP and the VSX 8000 supports 6 site mp if you have that option installed. DAVID

If you have changed the default password, you need to reset the router to the factory settings to get in with the default user and password (user admin and password as password, or if that doesn't work try 1234). Note that you will lose the ISP settings and wireless settings when you reset the router.

i changed my GE DVSR admin password but forgot to note down how do i reset it to dafault/factory default

hey of you are just new try to type on the user name "admin" then in the password "admin"
or "administrator" then also in the password "administrator" if you dont change it yet. but if you alrady change it you have to manual reset it it you forgot your password.hope it works.

The polycom didn't allow for numbers, only letters.....
