I have a Craig model ctv-413 01 tv. I have a black box that appears on the screen that I can not remove.I was told it is a closed caption box. In my tv set up screen I do not have an option to turn this on and off...so my question is first how did it suddenly appear after all these years and how do I get it to go away? thanks for any help you offer.
A square box imposed on top of pix is called a text box.
It is controlled thru the Closed- Caption menu selection.
Enter CC menu and make different selections-try them all,it will help you to understand.....,..T.

it is not a power supply problem. I have both picture and sound. The black box is over the picture as if it was a closed caption box only it is larger and there is no text in it.
I am using the original remote.
I do not have cc availible on this tv. It must be something else.
