On certain chanels I see a totally blue screen with it saying V- chip has been activated. Please tell me how I can get rid of this and get my chanel back on. it is only on certain channels...not all.

you should do the following tasks:
Press the left side of the TV with your hand, if the colors got disappeared, fortunately the flat cable inside the TV causes the problem. But
If the problem still insists, the panel board inside the TV got corrupted and you must change it with a new one.
Hit the Menu button on the TV. 2. 'INPUT SECRET No.' should appear. 3. Press and hold both VOL (+) and CH DOWN (9) on the TV set simultaneously until the message 'INPUT SECRET No.' disappears. 4. The vchip settings should be disabled now and the Parental controls menu should be presented, 'disable' Status if need be.
on my Sharp 36R-s400. Go to menu , then parental control. When dispaly asks for secret number,
press and hold volume up and channel down simultaneously until message is cleared.
This turns off parental control and clears the password.
Having trouble looking up your model number so could you recheck it, In the mean time set may have got into a service menu, try while the set is on and from the front controls hold vol- and chanel - at the same time
Your parental lock is probably activated. That is most likely the V-chip doing its job locking out depending on the rating (PG,PG13,R etc) of the program.
