I just bought a 2gb SanDisk microSD Trans Flash memory card for my slvr L7 and its not working at al... My phone detects it but it cant read it. It ask me if I want to format it and I say yes and it says its unreadable. I'm wondering if the slvr L7 accepts a 2gb memory stick or what the max is for the Slvr L7. If anyone knows the answer to this would be of great help. Thanks.
I know for a fact that the slvr l7 will support 1 gb due to the fact that my slvr currently has a 1g sandisk card in it that functions perfectly
"jasperdino" is correct. the highest expandable mem card you can use is 1GB but anything over 512MB is very unreliable
Please read the specifications of your phone on the box, and you will see that the phone can handle up to 512mb expandable memory. 512mb is the maximum memory u can put without any malfunctioning issues.
Go kill yourself...
The max memory can be read by motorola slvr l7 is 1GB only.....
Make sure it is saved on your computer under the file name ".mp3" and not ".wma".
I had them saved in the wrong format for a while myself a bit.
I have a slvr l7 motorola too.it happens to me sometimes.you need just to take the memory card out of the phone and let it for about half an hour out of the mobile.i hope,i resolved your problem.
I just bought a 1gb Sandisk and my L7 seems to have accepted it...but when im on facebook and try open an even or accept a friend it says "Error, out of memory"... can anyone help?
Ive got a red slvr and bought a 4GB card and it doesn't work. £20 down the drain! May take it to a phone shop?
Look at spec for your phone. some l7's are up to 512 some up to a gig (L7i) and some can use 2g + like the L72 (L9)
Mine has a 1g kingston card in it right now and it works flawlessly. the 4g card hasn't yet. I'm still working on opening it up
2 things:
1) it can't run anything over 1gb
2) it can't run Kingston 1gb cards
My L7 can read 1gb Lexar memory card... is the brand...
SLVR L7 only goes to 1GB, or mine does, anyway. Hope I can get a trade off for the 2GB one I got instead.
When I went to AT&T they let us choose which card to get, my husband had the Mp3 playing RAZR and I have the L7, so I don't think it's limited to one size SD card. I bought the cheaper one anyway, which is the 512mb, but it works fine on my phone, never any problems.
And I like how I can just go to a kiosk and print pictures off. And I don't have to pay for ringtones cause I can just save them to my card from my computer.
The specs from mine says 1 gb
and as to the itunes problem, just connect the memory card and manually copy music files to it. i know its longer then you want the process to be, but it gets the job done and is a simple solution
Wow. im having that same problem. I can see every song i put on my memory card only when its in my computer, but when i push "look through phone and memory card for changes" is doesnt finish all the way and restarts my whole phone. i need help too!
The L7 only takes up to 512mb card

Well that phone holds up to a 1gb memory card but I would suggest getting a 512mb cause if you full the 1gb it will freeze your phone and it would of no use to you anymore.
SOURCE: memory card unreadable.
yes the L7 take up to 2gb in memory card try a new card or format it in the pc first then try it again on the phone.

I have the same issues, many cards only work here and there, the data gets corrupted. I have had nothing but trouble with Motorola junk! This phone has been repaired so many times until the warranty ran out. Time for a new phone and it will not be a Moto since they have been more trouble for me than any brand I have ever had. And I have had many phones over the years ever since cellphones were very new and few & far between. Moto is the worst by far!
when i go to setting then phone status, storage devices,card-unformatted,iselect that it says format when i select format,it says format failed try again?
I have had an L7 for a year now. I have gone through a few memory cards. The first one was a 128MB card, I later upgraded to a 1GB card. Now I know that the recommended limit is 512MB, but the 1GB card worked great for a while. Then suddenly it would randomly not be able to read it. And guess what? It would not read the 128MB either. Last night, after having got several months without a card, I found some that were pretty cheap and decided to take advantage of it. They were 1GB cards. They worked the fist time I put them in my phone but now it went back to randomly reading them. So please, if anyone can SOLVE this problem and not just repeat what the last person said, then please do so.
