Hello, I hope this helps. If no change then you probably have a hardware/ wiring issue and the dvd player may need to come out. Please advise

Is it the Navigation unit in the trunk that has gone bad? Or has your display unit given up? You can find plenty of Navigation units and display screens on ebay.
If it's just the display you can purchase a replacement screen. Search 2000 acura tl navigation screen or Navigation Display on ebay. you'll find plenty of them there. The real fun is removing your old one, to replace with the new one you bought to fix the problem.
To remove and replace the screen, you need to remove everything below it first. Search youtube videos and you'll find some very detailed instructional videos on how to do it. It's not for the faint of heart, or the mechanically inept...
I've done it, and YES.... you need to removed all of that stuff, in that exact order, in order to be able to get to the two lower bolts that hold the screen in place. There is no short cut.
Helpfull hint... before you install your new replacement screen, be sure and write down the serial number of the unit, which is printed on the back side of the assembly. You just might need it some time in the future (like when you need it to retrieve a code from Acura USA, to make your radio and nav unit work after disconnecting the battery)
If your screen is ok, but your nav unit is broken, you can buy one of those on eBay as well... a lot easier to install... open the trunk, remove two cables, and four screws, and replace.
1: if you navigate electricity, (with the navigation buttons backlight and the light is on) appears black screen, this is front-facing screen navigation motherboard diodes burn big thermal power flows through the electric circuit breakers in the situation you find the location of the installation let him to give you do after 2: if you don't electricity, navigation, unable to boot, you can see if your cigarette lighter and electricity, if not, congratulations you, your dashboard below there is a small resistance wire burned, to let him help you where you press the navigation in a, this can only show you the navigation of the voltage is not stable. 3: if you navigate difference, can't boot, cigarette lighter is normal, you remove the navigation, navigation and power cord with a plastic plug head, take out to see so you can take off) and see the inside of the resistance wire is disconnected, if there is change a good, if not, then you take the past to let him give you repair.auto diagnostic tool
This happened to my 06 325i, the navigation and instrument cluster displays are not controlled by the same computer, mine had to go back to the dealer for a reprogramming, hope this helps. let me know.
I would recomend looking behind the left access cover in the trunk where the navigation computer is located. Inspect the area for any water intrusion, and if possible check the connections to the navigation computer for water or corrossion. the display colors are generated by the navigation computer via RGB lines. If the nav computer is cutting out, that would explain why a battery reset helps restore the picture.
Had the same problem...hit CONFIG...then Vehicle on the left side...when the Vehicle screen
shows all the info on languages....hold your finger on the clock in top right corner. The clock
adjust screen should appear. I could never get the clock adjust screen because I was just
touching the time...you have to keep your finger on it until the screen comes up. Hope this helps.
It is actually located behind the navigation screen.
Turn off the radio.
Press and hold the CD eject button until the display unlocks (about 10 to 15 seconds).
Let screen move outward and rotate downward.
Press the DVD eject button just exposed behind the display.
Remove DVD, insert new one.
Rotate display upwards and press gently on all four corners to slide and lock display back into original position.
Turn on radio, navigation DVD should start update process, let it finish.
