SOURCE: No water collection
compressor may be starved for freon or blockage in freon line...tech must troubleshoot.
SOURCE: Does Not Collect Water
Best way to check the humidistat is with a digital or analog meter. Put the ohm meter on R1 if it's an analog meter. Put the two lead wires from the ohm meter on the humidistat connectors(pull off the wires, but remember where they go) while turning the humidistat knob the analog meter needle will move at a certain point then return to zero. If you have a digital meter the OL (open line) numbers will go to OO or a resistance reading will appear (such as 6.90 or 12.75 (these are just example numbers). If the humidistat is working, then throw away the unit, the freon is low or leaked out . Not worth fixing then. You can Google "humidistat" on dehumidifiers and also find ways to troubleshoot this item. Even a simple humidistat costs around 30 bucks,IF you can find one out there for your model.

1- check if the water collecting bucket is properly installed (the light will show is ON but if the bucket is not propely installed -pushed in the proper position ) -make sure the slots on the bottom of the dehumidifier are posisioned correctly.

It is defective. The coils are not getting cold enough to condense water in the air. If you have the receipt and the unit is less than 5 years old, give LG a call for warranty repair.
SOURCE: motor runs on dehumidifier but doesn't collect water
If it doesn't get cold change the temperature,
Put the float wire up.
finally it is out of r-14- freon.
