Forgot password I forgot my password to get into the tablet. I need to know how to reset the password and do a reset without getting logged in to do so.

Unfortunately, you will need to get to a laptop or tower PC or Mac, in order to reset your password, migrate to apple.com try to login, there should be a forgot password link just below the login entry points. The Mobile version of Apples website malfunctions when attempting to reset a password, this is why you need to go through a laptop or tower to have a successful password reset.
If it's an android device...
1. Enter wrong pattern 5 times and wait for 30 seconds.
2. Select "Forgot pattern" and enter your email account username and password.
3. Make sure you use the same account that was used to activate the device and double check the password by logging in to that email account in a browser.
4. If you don't have access to the original email account, you will need to do a hard reset and loose your settings and apps on the devcice. The data on the memory card will not be wiped though.
Note: if you can't remember your email password, you will have to visit the email service support page to get it reset.

A factory reset will erase everything. If you want to operate without a password, expect all data and software to be stolen or tampered with. Good luck.
