INeed a remote for older Admiral tv/VCR combination.
I have an older Admiral tv with VCR combination. In moving I lost the remote. The local television store said that because it is a combo a universal remote won't work. Where can I look for a replacement?

Buy a universal remote called all in one it will run any electronics in your home and sells for under fifteen dollars at any walmart. Cheaper some places. I don't know where u are but if u have a Big Lots u can buy from there for about seven dollars

This remote does not handle combination TV/VCR devices. You will need a different remote. You can get an exact replacement remote here: http://remotes.com/store/rca/t25208.html .
It will control the TV with the code 1000 (most likely). Other RCA TV codes are 11447, 10051, 10093, 10679, 11047, 11147, 11247, 11347, 11781, 12002, 12187. The manual and code list for the remote are available here: http://www.rcaaudiovideo.com/support/?kw=RCR311W . The VCR part uses a code that isn't programmed into the remote. (Remotes generally only have codes for devices released 6 months or more before the remote was programmed. Many of the older RCA universal remotes never had their coding lists updated to include combination units.)
YOU CAN USE EMERSON CODES FOR YOUR ADMIRAL TV AND TV / VCR COMBOS, MY COMCAST REMOTE ACCEPTED 11911. SOME REMOTES NEED FIVE NUMBERS AND MY ADMIRAL ONLY HAS THREE. SO I USED AN EMERSON CODE AND IT WORKED MOST OF THE BELLS, NOT ALL WHISTLES WORKED BUT I DIDN'T HAVE TO GET UP TO TURN IT ON, CHANGE THE CHANNEL OR THE VOLUME. MY KIDS WON'T DO IT ANY MORE!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!
You should easily be able to find a universal remote that works with your tv, search on the internet or go to an electronics store and tell them the specific brand and version [If its older than 1990 you will have a hard time finding one]
