TRI-COLOR (DSI LED) DIAGNOSTIC TABLE
No. of Red BLINKS
1 Flame sensed when no flame should be present
Verify the gas valve is operating and shutting down properly. Flame in burner assemble should extinguish promptly at the end of the cycle. Check orifices and gas pressure.

2 BLINKS Pressure switch stuck closed/ inducer error
Pressure switch stuck closed. Check switch function, verify inducer is turning off.

3 BLINKS 1st-stage pressure switch stuck open/inducer error
Check pressure switch function and tubing. Verify inducer is turning on the pulling sufficient vacuum to engage switch.

4 BLINKS Open limit switch Verify continuity through rollout switch circuit.

5 BLINKS Open rollout/open fuse detect Verify continuity through rollout switch circuit, check fuse.

6 BLINKS 1st-stage pressure switch cycle lockout If the first stage pressure switch cycles 5 times (open, closed) during one call for heat from the thermostat the control will lockout.Check pressure switch for fluttering, inconsistent closure or poor vacuum pressure.
7 BLINKS External lockout (retries exceeded) Failure to sense flame is often caused by carbon deposits on the
flame sensor, a disconnected or shorted flame sensor lead or a
poorly grounded furnace. Carbon deposits can be cleaned with
emery cloth. Verify sensor is not contacting the burner and is locatedin a good position to sense flame. Check sensor lead for shortingand verify furnace is grounded properly.

8 BLINKS External lockout (ignition recycles
exceeded where flame is established and then lost)Check items for exceeded retries listed above and verify valve is not dropping out allowing flame to be established and then lost.

9 BLINKS Grounding or Reversed polarity Verify the control and furnace are properly grounded. Check and reverse polarity (primary) if incorrect.

10 BLINKS Module gas valve contacts energized
with no call for heat Verify valve is not receiving voltage from a short. If a valve wiring is correct and condition persists, replace module.
11 BLINKS Limit switch open - possible blower
failure overheating limit Possible blower failure, restricted air flow through appliance or duct work. Verify continuity through limit switch circuit and correct overheating cause.

12 BLINKS Module Ignitor contact failure Fault code indicates the module ignitor contacts are not functioning
properly. Replace module.Solid Module - internal fault condition Module contacts for gas valve not operating or processor fault.
Reset control. if condition persists replace module.
3 double 2nd-stage Pressure Switch Stuck Open/Inducer Error
Check pressure switch function and tubing. Verify inducer.

Rheem Classic 90 FURNACE. Blower motor constantly running, even if t-stat is removed. Led blinks four times. PS closed, is the code. Not a psycho problem, I think it is the voltage transformer.

An LED that blinks four times followed by a two-second pause is signaling the pressure switch is closed when it should be open. The switch itself might be stuck, or the tubing that attaches the switch to the furnace's draft inducer might be blocked

Amana Air Command 80 SSE gas furnace will not stay running

In the path of the flame on the last burner that starts, there will be a small rod. That rod is the flame sensor. Take a scrub pad and polish it. Also check the electrical connection that goes back to the circuit board. Disconnect any ground wire from the circuit board to furnace cabinet, sand it and replace it.

The led light blinks 3 times then pauses then

Pressure switch error code, Check the air filter for blockage, check the vent pipes for blockage or water, make sure the condensate drains are working and that there is no water in the hose(s) that go to the pressure switch(s).

I have an Amana Air Comand Gas furnace/AC, it's 4

Hi, If you are talking about an led light at the furnace, and it is blank, it should have a 3 to 5 amp fuse that plugs into the board. Pull it and check to see if the metal element is blown or burnt. If so, replace it. If you are talking about some other red light, please let me know. It sounds as though you have lost the 24 volt control voltage, so see if it has a fuse on the board. Keep me posted.

The led indicator blinks 3 times on an Amana 90 furnace. What does this mean? The furnace won't fire.

Pressure switch open. Remove the small hose at the blower assy and gently **** on it. You should hear the switch on the other end of that hose change states. If not then it's the hose (cheap) or the switch (100 bucks but tough to find 2 years ago) or the wiring to/from or the control module. If it does do you have a bunch of white **** (the gasket) coming out of the black blower mount? I had to remove broken gasket and Permatex the seal to create the proper pressure; that's probably your problem as well.

I have an amana air command 90 furnace. the burner won't light.

This unit goes in steps, 1-- thru--4 Step 1, vent fan blower motor runs & prove thru the air tube, which closes a switch and tells the circuit board to go to step---2 Step 2 lights the glow plug and goes to step 3 automatically, Step 3, opens the gas valve and send in gas thru the long venturi tubes which lights from the glow plug and on the last tube, theres a rod that sticks into the flame, if no flame or not working properly, it will shut down the starting sequences and retry for 4-times and automaticaly lockout till unplug and start over. (whever step it stops at, then thats where your problem is!
