How to Clean a VHS Video Recorder (The Professional Way) ...
Its quite complicated scenario. but if you have patience you can get this tape out. You need to study first how the VHS mechanism works when energize. Try to spin each gear manually and observe everything how it behave.
You mean a tape is stuck inside? Disconnect power and open up the cover. If the tape is stuck around the posts, free it and by manually turning the loading motor you can slowly get the mechanism to eject the tape.
You might be able to unbolt the two halves of the VCR to remove the tape, but it depends on the VCR type and how it's stuck. You might end up having to get it serviced, or just getting a new VCR, as I can almost guarantee the tape is probably damaged beyond recovery, unfortunately.
super vhs tapes has an extra hole on the side where you lift the flap to see the tape the pin inside the machine must be stuck.I have had no problems with this as i have jvc super vcr s as they are great machines also take the lid off and clean the heads around the drum see how you go.
Yes with care.
Simply remove the cover and with care unwrap the tape.
If you must break the tape - but make sure all residual tape is cleanly removed.
Re assemble and put a tape head cleaner through- following the instructions.
