Sandisk not recognized by computer - SanDisk Sansa m230 MP3 Player

I've had this problem with other Sandisk products. Sometimes, using the setup disk supplied with the unit is the only way to get a computer to recognize the unit. Often, once the computer recognizes the Sandisk unit, you can format it and use it reliably. If you don't have a setup disk, the Sandisk site, or others that have the appropriate drivers may help, but I've had less luck going that route. As a last resort, I've gotten a warranty replacement of the Sandisk unit, which usually works.

Look for the driver updates for Windows. Checking your memory card on other PC is also recommended.

As far as I can see from the manual the e100 series player only supports up to 2 GB memory SD cards, see page 8 (=7) of the manual:

Formatting the SD card of 2 GB should be in FAT format, see:

Go to sandisk.com and find the driver for Vista for your mp3 player or call sandisk they can email you the link

What is your operating system? You may need to update your usb drivers.

My computer will not recognize my Sansa sandisk MP3 player. I tried to reset it, and when I get the "Please connect USB" message, it still won't recognize it.
