Turn off auto-answering function,how?

Hi,im from vietnam, i have a spp a946 made in philippines, it may be not a prolem, as u kow,while i go out,the phone autoanswer when there is an incomingcall, and the net provider charge the caller! so , i wanna turn off the autoanswering function,how must i do,please tell me the steps to do it,should i start cliking the menu button and then?thanz^^

Welcome to Panasonic :-)

The mute button works when you have a speakerphone call. That means SP-PHONE pressed and press MUTE and it flashes to let you know it's on mute.

Maybe software version 9.0 will fix the mute to work on handset calls.....

SOURCE: how to program speed dial on sony spp-a946 cordless phone

  1. Press 'PGM'- "program" button.
  2. Press "speed dial" button.
  3. Select "station # " i.e. any button from 1-9 for speed dialing.
  4. (make sure to make a note of this selected # against the corresponding tel # and /or the person's name)
  5. Dial the complete (incl. 1 for USA or country code for other country tel. #s) telephone number to be stored for the selected speed dialing station #.
  6. Press "PGM" button again to complete the storing of the tel #.
  7. Test, after dial tone, by just pressing the selected station #

How do I turn down the ringer volume.
For the base station set the ringer switch on the base from high to low. To turn it off select off. You can find that switch on the panel where the phone plugs into the wall on the far left.

The handset is adjusted the same way on the leftside as you are looking at the phone.
