My acer wont log on to lan internet - Acer Aspire 5000 Notebook

Log into your lan admin portal and ensure Bluray is an allowed device on the network.

Open the internet explorer
Click on Tools tab on upper right side corner
Then click on Internet Options
Then click on Connections tab
Then click on LAN Settings
Make sure nothing is checked over there.
Then click OK OK and then try to go online.

re install w-lan driver

100 mbps ONLY means connection speed between your laptop and the next device in your network (which is your router). You might want to check in your router is configured to access internet to your provider.

See if the cable from ISP to your router is connected properly.

Not sure what type of internet connection you have, so its hard to advice properly.

right click your mouse on internet explorer and left click on properties .left click on connections tab then left click on lan settings.click the top box which says auto detect settings.Ensure other 2 boxes are unchecked.Then close internet properties and try to open internet explorer.

it is a good possibility that you have the wrong drivers, get the specs on the hardware and re install

using the website of the laptop manufacturer, find out what audio and lan devices you have, they may even have the drivers, then using an internet enabled pc download them and burn them to a cd or floopy if file is small enough, then when you have them, go right click my computer,properties, device manager, find the lan and audio devices, right click, properties, uodate driver, obviously with cd in the drive!! if the downloaded files are zipped make sure you unzip them before you burn them else pc wont find the drivers

looks like the new laptop has been assigned the same ip address as your old latop so it wont allow u access...renew the ip address, assign ur old lap top a new one or just reboot the router so it will issue u with a new ip address.

Which are you using, wireless internet or wired?

If your using wireless then:
Goto Control Panels via start menu
Double Click on network Connections
Right Click the LAN and choose Properties
On the bottom you see the "Show icon notification ..." make sure that is unchecked.

Close out and your good. no more notification.
