nailer worked for six nails, then air keeps going out the nailer end of my Dewalt D51823. I have replaced quick contects and air line

Dewalt guns use between 70 and 120 psi. I use 100 psi on all framing guns when testing, however the nailer will last longer if you use lower pressure (only whats needed to drive nail into work, depending on type of wood) . When too much pressure is used, extra force is absorbed by the lower bumper and nose area of gun.

You could have broken internal parts but more likely you have broken or worn o-rings inside the nailer. You can go to the Dewalt service site at, http://servicenet.dewalt.com/, search for your model number and get a good breakdown of the nailer and order the parts you need to rebuild it. If you replace any o-rings, replace all of them.

Click on service/support button then look for Instruction Manual button to download your manual. When search window appears enter your model number. You can also view a parts list and order parts. I have a very old dewalt nailer that was not listed on their website but my local service center made me a copy of theirs at no charge. Good luck.
