This means that your speakers have surround sound capability. The black one is for the REAR L-R sound, the orange one is for the CENTER sound, and the green is for the standard stereo FRONT L-R sound.

Your computer only has a green slot, so it means it does not support surround by default. You should simply insert the green speaker jack into the green slot on your laptop, and you should be good to go. The orange and black ones aren't necessary at all, so it's fine to ignore them for now.

SOURCE: Rear Speaker delay

It will not be the length of the wires, as the signal travels at close to the speed of light!

If the connections to the speakers are bare wires the cause is probably that you have wired the speakers with opposing polarity. Check the wiring and ensure that positive (red) is wired to positive on the speakers.

The speaker cable should be marked in some way to indicate which core is which. It doesn't matter which core you use provided that you wire red to red and black to black, or whatever other colours your output and input have.

SOURCE: I have a Dell/Zylux A425 2.1 audio system for a

It seem your amplifier doesn't work, nothing to do with your computer, you can check with any other source lik eMP3 player, etc. If you take apart the box, there are some SJ4558 dual opamp. In my panel three of them were not working. Check if they are working or not. TDA 8947J is the power amp ic, download the datasheet.
You can also check the input PINs there are article about it.
After I replaced the 3 bad opamp, worked fine like new.

I need the millivolt output recommendation

You are talking about a Meter to measure the Voltage and Amperages. If you do not have one; and need to measure the power, current, or resistance values; take the speaker to Radio shack and they will do it for you.

I have the sub woffer only would like to use on my comp

No problem....just plug the subwoofer into your Green Port on the computer sound section. The Right and Left channel will merge into a monaural sound and come out of the speaker as if you were listening to music from a radio.

Try another speaker set.
If this does not fix it, then consider the sound card if it is removeable, get a new one. If it is internal, turn off the sound and install a sound card.

One speaker is MUCH louder than the other

It sound like you have a break in the main wire from the computer sound card to your speaker amp OR the plug is not plug in completely plugged in all the way. Try some other speakers or ear buds / head phones to isolate sound card problem or speaker problem.
