Need to reset passwork on linksys e1550 to default

For most versions of the Linksys E1550, the default password is admin. As with most passwords, the E1550 default password is case sensitive.

On the back of your router is a 'reset' button. Use a toothpick or a pen to press it for approximately 5 seconds. Once this is done you can log in with the default user and password.

• Open your web browser
• Browse to 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1
• The default username is: (blank)
• The default password is: admin

Only type in the password, and don't enter anything in the username field. In case this doesn't work try the following credentials:

• Default username: admin
• Default password: admin
  

There should be a small button which can only be reached with something small like a paperclip in the back of the router. If you press and hold this for 30 seconds or so it will reset ALL of the settings to default. Warning! This will clear all internet username and passwords, you will need to get these back from your ISP.

You can check with your service provider to make sure what default admin and password they have for such device or alternatly check your device manufacturer website for default credentials.

The TOTAL ROUTER RESET instructions are:
Press and hold the Reset button on the E1550 at the bottom panel for about five (5) seconds then release, or access the web-based setup page then go to the Administration tab > Factory Defaults and click the Restore Factory Defaults button. To know more about this, click here.

is it phone password or router password. do you mean wep or wpa passwork? you can access these security key by accessing your GUI in you router. just open your internet browser and type in in the url 192.168.1.1 for "linksys" router or 192.168.0.1 for other router. then go wireless and wireless security. you can find there if your are using wep or wpa access key.
In case that you dont know the password of your router. reconfigure your LinkSys, connect a PC to one of it's Ethernet ports, load a web browser, and go to the URL http://192.168.1.1/. This will take you to a popup box which asks you to enter a username and password to login to your router. On older LinkSys routers, the default username is blank and the default password is "admin." On newer Linksys routers, both the default username and the default password are set to "admin."

if you have changed the password from the default, you must reset the router.
then you can use the default password.
if you have not changed the password, and simply dont remember the default log on is:
username: (keep blank)
password: admin (all lowercase)

..hi..hello...if you don't remember the password their is a simple way about..try to find small hole at the back of router the name is reset,so u make a resets using small pin.reboot the PC/CPU when the router is connected then after reboot re-type again (192.168.1.1) then u see again the box of Linksys only u need enter the box is Password the password is (admin)..good luck and Thanks...
