Many times, downloading a toolbar will automatically set your homepage whether you wanted it to or not. First, I would check to see if you have any toolbars installed (I remove all of them).

Click on Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features

If present, right-click on the Ask Toolbar and select Uninstall.

Next, return to Control Panel and open Internet Options. Under the Homepage box, enter http://google.com/ and click on the Apply button. This should solve your problem.

If the homepage continues to revert back to the other pages, you more than likely have a running application causing the browser to automatically select the scripted page. I would then recommend downloading Google Chrome or Firefox to use as a web browser. If you already use Google Chrome and the problem is happening, download again to revert the settings back to default.

How do i keep blocken numbers from ringing into my home?

from my own experence, other that not answering it after you look at your caller id, use googe voice. it is free. you can block callers on the google voice site. you can give the googe number to to people you like. then if you don't want to ever answer that person again or block them you can. GOOGLE VOCE. I have used them for many years. good luck.

How do I get google back as my home page

That is because you may have connected to yahoo.com and lost the home page default. In internet explorer whilst you are in Google home page you select Internet options from the tools menu and in General tab where is has space for default page you click "use current' and ok. That should save google as home page. Exit explorer and select again to make it work.

Make google my home page

You didn\'t specify what browser you\'re using nor what operating system you\'re using. Assume you\'re using Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) and Windows 7.

When I see the "Ask" homepage and/or "Ask Toolbar" problem, it usually tells me there\'s adware/spyware on the system. Ask components are not just a single program but usually consist of multiple pieces that you have to take care of. You may need to take aggressive action to remove "Ask" features. It can take quite a while to remove Ask and return control of the home page to you. This article from PC Magazine will give you a decent start: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2421591,00.asp

There are a thousand web articles out there talking about how to remove Ask components, both automated and manual. Some of them start out with a treatment of the system using MalwareBytes or SuperAntiSpyWare programs. Both of these offer free scanning and cleaning. They will not remove Ask but will help you get rid of most other infestations to ensure a stable platform before you begin. I often find the manual Ask removal procedure to be the most thorough but one that takes more time and effort. Try the easy ones first - you may get lucky.

Once you\'ve ridded your system of the Ask junk, you will then be able to have your Google Home Page back. In the IE browser, call up Google.com. Then use Tools > Internet Options. Look at the top panel of the General tab. Delete everything in the field. You\'ll see a button to the left called "Use Current", click that and Google.com should now be your home page.

If you fail to completely remove Ask, Ask SearchBar, Ask Toolbar, and all Ask components, I\'m afraid this Ask home page hijack may come back to haunt you until you do get rid of it.

Ask is usually injected on a system when you download and install software, for instance Java. Most reputable software vendors (like the folks who make Java) will let you OPT OUT of the Ask component -but- it is up to you, the user, to pay attention and take the OptOut path. Blindly clicking through a software install, whether downloaded from the \'net or off a disk, is just asking for it.

Navigation within chrome is erratic...random problem when going from one site to another; gmail to home page or within random sites when clicking "next" or "continue" browser page goes...

most of the problems with googe chrome are caused by "Windows Update", Google is working on the issue, but you have to realize that Chrome is competition to Windows internet explorer and windows will do all it can (within legal bounds) to discourage users from switching to google chome,
A couple of things you might do, go back from the last windows update, re-download chrome or ask for update to it. Or you could just wait, Google is aware of the problem and is working quickly to address the issues since they don't want to lose you as a customer/user.
