SOURCE: Sony's STR-DE675 5.1 Channel Receiver - Speaker OFF problem

There's a button that turns the speakers OFF right above the headphone jack.

Get the manual: retrevo.com

Testimonial: "@dunnbiker Very true on assumptions! I've tried everything the manual suggests. Right now, nothing is connected to the unit, but upon power up, I get the SP:OFF display (which is not seen in the DEMO mode). I will try the headphone jiggling idea and see what happens."

SONY STR DN-1030 will not power on. Gets green light then back to orange. We have unplugged and tried to reset, but nothing works. Have big house of company!!!

. Espero que pueda resolver el problema.

How can i hook-up a 901 series vi equalizer to a str-de897?

I own 901's(since new) with the active equalizer powered with a non-Sony surround sound receiver.

Basically, you use the MD/Tape in/out jacks to route the signal to the Bose active equalizer. Switch the Tape Monitor switch if no sound is heard.

Here are some references.
https://docs.sony.com/release/STRDE897.pdf http://products.bose.com/pdf/customer_service/owners/901_guide.pdf

Connect equalizer cables (4 total) to the MD/TAPE section of your receiver. OUT from the receiver to the equalizer IN and Out from the equalizer to IN on the receiver.

One issue with the equalizer running through the MD/Tape jacks is that it may affect any other speakers hooked up to your system.

I Bought a Sony STR-DH130 2-Channel Hi-Fi Receiver and a AudioSource EQ 200 Graphic Equalizer. I connected them and the equalizer does not make a difference nor does it change the sound, can someone

Well i have a equalizer, some times and just(studio gear) the output from my mixer connected to my equalizer and that output to the monitors., It might be a wrong connection orrrr have you put the equalizer on the receiver input signal, that signal has to be the right impedance and your receiver will propably make the signal linair, so that,s useless

How to connect a teac equalizer A220 to a Sony receiver str-DH540

I'm not familiar with your units. The most common set up would be use the "tape monitor loop". Eq out to receiver tape in monitor, Eq in to receiver tape out monitor, then engage receiver "tape monitor" switch on.

How to connect kenwood GE 52 graphic equalizer to my sony str-DE345 any idea , please help me.thanks.I tried many combination but didnt work.

An EQ usually plugged between a preamp and an amplifier. You have a receiver. There's no connections that will let you do that. The only thing you can do is between a source(ie: CD) and the receiver. The CD will go in the eq and out of eq to cd input on the receiver

SEQ-711 connection to sony STR D350Z

You can use the VCR audio connections for a stereo analog processor

Many people want to use an EQ with their modern multi-channel Digital Sound Processing gear but at best an analog 2-channel EQ (or any other processor) will only work with analog stereo sources. On most receivers, simply selecting the Tape Monitor disables all digital inputs. However, most DSP can still be employed with analog source material and a 2-channel processor with varying degrees of aesthetic pleasantness. Beauty is indeed in the ear of the beholder.

If that works for you, go for it. I do it, but I fully understand the limitations.

Equalizer connections

Usually you hook your equalizer between the pre out and main in RCA jacks and then open the connection between the pre and main with a switch. If your unit doesn't have pre out/ main in jacks then I have seen it done by putting your equalizer between the tape in and tape out jacks and then select that tape function on your front panel. The tape out goes to eq. in and the eq. out goes to tape in. Good luck.
