check your condensation hose for leak or the pan may have a crack in it or it runs too much for the water to disapate

Try going to the manufacturer's web site. Hook into Support , or Downloads. Then look for the operating manuaal. Or, in their site, Search for the manual. This often works.

Most communities have either private or charitable organizations that take old appliances and computers. I took an old window air conditioner and they took it with no prep.
