Instructions on all I would need for my 2 rotary tools I just purchased. How to attach (don't know the name) it's a long cable that you can attach your bits, polishers, etc. how do you put it on and how do you put on the bits, etc. they don't seem to fit. Go to Dremel ->LINK. Just be sure to set the parts right.

firstly if its the pencil attachment that is smoking when turned on it could be .A) the cable is truely not all the way in and binding . B) the bearings inside the attachment are smoking from overheating due to friction from the cable .C) the cable itself may need lubed so so it is not geting hot and transfering the heat to the pencil attachment ..if all else fails get a new attachment,,

Sounds like you'll need to either order a new flex shaft from Worksmith, or purchase a different rotary tool kit. Dremel makes the best, and Central Electric (Harbor Freight Tools) also makes a flex-shaft kit.
