MotorolaV3x locks up when accessing camera or camera menu

Hi, dropped my Razr in fresh water. Keys stopped working. Got best local repair shop we could find in Baghdad. They fixed keys & calls are ok but phone locks up if access camera or camera menu & have to take battery out to clear. Is it a software firmware prob or better to buy new phone. No-one here knows how to fix it or what's wrong - pot luck really getting anything fixed in Iraq.

You could try opening the top part of your phone and unplug and replug the camera connector. unscrew and pop open the case. The wire for the camera is the wide one on the left. flip open the lock(brown plastic), take it out, put it back in and flip back the lock.  good luck!

I have a samsung J700 and almost everybutton has stopped working, I would rather not go to the shop I got i from because i need a quick fix that i can do at home

Normally this happens when one or more keys on your phone are stuck are permanently pressed so you can not use any other key as well.
Please check all keys individually specially side volume or camera keys. If any key is stuck, then you should try to release it by pressing it few time.
I have seen same problem on many water damaged phone as well. if your phone happen to be water damage then cell repairing shop is best option.

I can not take photos. The message on the screen says "This memory card is locked"

hi first you should check the small piece (lock/unlock) on SD card. if not, you should consult to local repair shop. It is then two possible problem..one is memory receptance pcb, two is main pcb.... It is very easy repair. Your local repair shop would charge $45 to 115 depend on what they really want to charge. Thanks and best regard!

Local camera repair shop will repair camera by replacing ccd imager chip because camera will take apart and soldering work is also involve so its not likely novice fix.

The lens is stuck 1/2 way out and I am unable to access the menu and have taken the batteries out and even replaced them.

The lens has probably got something in the retraction mechanism that is stopping it retracting. This can be something as simple as sand or grit or as a result of a drop or knock. In most cases the camera will need to be stripped apart to remove the lens assy before it can be repaired. This is best left to a professional camera repair shop.

Play & Menu buttons/display not working properly after water got in

I took mine surfing, and it leaked salt water (just a couple of drops) into the battery compartment. I rinsed the whole camera with fresh water, and the camera came back to life -- but had similar display issues.

I had the camera serviced at Best Buy, where I had purchased a 4yr maintenance contract. In addition to fixing the electronics, they replaced the door on the battery compartment with one that has a metal hinge instead of the original plastic. If you don't have a warranty, then getting a used replacement is by far the cheapest route.

My advice: buy another one on eBay or Craigs. I just got a second one two weeks ago for $70.00 and it is working perfectly. This is an awesome camera, and worth the hassle to repair or replace.

hi,
your arrow keys have problem, so take it to the service center for repair..now i ll tell you how to access ur phone without arrow keys.. imagine ur menu is like wat i shown below..

       cal log      phonebook      applications

       browser    messages       files

       calendar   camera           settings

now if u want to access "cal log" press 1 ; "phonebook" press 2; " applns" press 3 ; "messages" press 5.....like this as in your keypad...

now select contacts by pressing any suitable number...select options...assume if your options are placed like this
