Maytag washer MAH4000AWW timer will not advance. Washer will operate if I manually advance timer. Have changed timer, followed Drive System diagnostic test, the wax motor and control board were replaced a few yrs ago, and have looked for the obvious loose wires/connection.

There is a motor inside the timer that turns the knob. the problem must be the replacement timer. was it a brand new timer from maytag or a 2nd hand? also double check your timer is connected correctly.

I have a Maytag Ensignia washer that will fill with water and start working but will not advance to the next cycle without manually advancing the dial. once helped into the next cycle the washer works...

First you need to list the model number in order for me to figure out what type of washer it is then i can help you. The reason I ask is some Maytag Ensignia's come with electronic timers and some models have old style timers...

My washer has filled up with water and then just stopped and wont begin the cycle...

Try manually advancing timer . If washer starts , timer motor is bad or gets stuck , or water level switch is bad and not sending power to timer.

If washer doesn't start ,the lid switch is stuck not sending power to timer or god forbid, timer is shot.

In some models , lid switch controls everything which may be your problem .Try manually operating lid switch or jumping it with jumper wire.Or just replacing. Its' the easiest to fix and most likely problem.

Good luck

Maytag MAH4000AWW no longer does the high speed spin cycle. Other than that motor runs fine. Seems like a controller issue but don't have a repair manual to know for sure.

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Maytag-Parts/Washer-Parts/Model-MAH4000AWW/3048/0153200/M0603006/00013?blt=06&prst=0&shdMod=MAH4000AWW

It could be the motor control board not telling the motor to switch to its highest speed, but it could also be control board not telling the motor control board to activate, but it could also be in the timing circuit. What other indications are you getting? Take a look at the wiring diagrams for this machine on the referenced site.

Maytag centennial washer - power went out while washer was operating. When power was restored the washer does not cycle. I have to turn it manually through the cycles.

Set the timer to any off position. Unplug the unit for 10 minutes. Plug it back in and try that. The worst thing
you can do to a Maytag washer is advance the timer yourself...hope this helps.

Washer won't spin

You need to check this part of you machine:

Test the lid switch
Test the timer control
Test the centrifugal switch
Test the water level switch
Inspect the motor coupler
Inspect the drive belt(belt drive only)
Inspect under the washer for soot (clutch)
Test the motor
Inspect the pulley
Test the transmission

Check this parts this are the some cause to not spinning.

MY NEPTUNE MAH4000AWW WORK WHEN IT WANT TO WORK

Check for low water pressure. Clear screens in inlet valve. Do-not remove screens. This unit will turn off if not filled in specified time.

I think that you have a faulty motor. Are there any visible cracks in the stator? The rotor position sensor could also be faulty.
