SOURCE: Poor performance

First of all "DAMN" can I have your PC lol jk, you upgraded to high for XP you have a Visa compatible upgrade. That motherboard doesn't support XP servise pack II. sorry if you dont like Vista but this OEM is the only thing that will work properly now.

SOURCE: How much HDD (GB) does Intel D101ggc support ?

You then must have re-installed your XP, and if no other Hardware configuration changed then it sounds as if you do not have all the necessary drivers reloaded.
Check your Device manager if there are any notifications and update all drivers.
Then look at this and follow these steps to also identify where your issues may be.:

I bought a new 500gb sata hdd to upgrade my ps3s old 40gb one and after formatting it my ps3 runs slow meaning I cant play any games, any ideas why this is?

Make sure the new hdd runs at least 5400 RPM. A 7200 RPM drive is a little better (or a Solid State Drive if money is of no concern).

How to upgrade a toshiba L305 to a 500gb hard without hardware failure error

I'm a bit confused? You are trying to install a HDD with Windows 7 on it from another computer in a Toshiba L305 laptop? If that's correct, it will not work, first, you must format the 500GB SATA HDD, then load the Windows 7 OS to get a clean install. Clarify the question if I am incorrect.

It's possible to clone to this drive, but over the USB interface, it will be very slow. Firewire would be faster. It's also possible to boot from it, but again, it will be slower than an internal. What you've described, however, IS possible.
