Shampoo furniture can i shampoo my furniture with my kirby shampooer its the newer version of the kirbys please let me know and how to do it thank you so much

I tried to link the videos but go to you-tube and just search for :

you can cut and paste that if you like. there is an instructional video you can watch that will explain your unit without a problem. At least this might help you a little. Sometimes explaining a kirby is hard to do without one in front of me.

Here's a link to a video instruction manual that shows how to but on the Kirby Shampoo attachment on the newer Kirby Sentria model, however the instructions are exactly the same for attaching the shampooer attachment to your model.

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. My suggestion is that you contact the Kirby Co in Cleveland listed below and they will instruct you either to down load a owner’s manual or they will mail one out to you, there might be a local Kirby dealer in your area that might have a manual as well. Also, there is a separate shampoo head that will be in the owner’s manual, you remove the vacuum head and bag assm and attach the shampoo head, make sure you use genuine Kirby shampoo for the carpet. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

I love my Kirby and shampooer, but I am wondering if there are any ways to clean stains in small/tight spaces (in corners, between furniture, etc)... my old carpet shampooer had a "hand tool" attachment with spinning brushes, but I don't see anything similar for Kirby... I imagine I could put a tiny bit of solution down and use the zip brush, but I'm wondering if anyone has a better idea...?

I believe that Kirby does make a spinning brush and If I remember it is a round brush that spins and probably will not get into square corners – suggest using a scrub brush with the Kirby Shampoo for corners and steps for areas that you cannot get into – use an old spray bottle to wet down the area that you are cleaning and use the scrub brush and if you do find the Kirby spinning brush that will do the large areas. There is a portable shampooer/sprayer that attaches to the hose ( the long one that makes the kirby a canister vacuum). It should have come with your attachments. Looks a bit like a gun without the tank attached to the bottom...the tank screws on.

To use it you would put the fingerguard attachment on the front of the kirby where the powerhead would normally go and the hose with the portable shampooer where the bag would go.

The tank on the portable sprayer/shampooer has lines to indicate how much water and shampoo are needed.

Be sure to put the mesh nozzle (sort of a triangular shaped thing with a piece of mesh along the front that attaches to the front of the portable sprayer) on the front of the portable sprayer if you want to shampoo..otherwise it will just spray a mist. The triangular piece with the mesh screen is what produces suds.

Vacuum the furniture/stairs thoroughly before shampooing. Cover the stairs/furniture with a thick coat of suds. Once covered with suds, pop the suds into the fabric/carpet using your hands...working the bubbles into any heavily soiled areas with a soft brush. No need to vacuum after shampooing. There is only about 10 percent water to 90 percent air in the suds.

Then let it dry. 15 minutes to and hour depending on the amount of solution used. Hope this helps!!!
