If you don't experience any network connectivity problems on that NIC, then you should not worry about this. This is a normal condition.

HP server ML350 G3 won't boot, red internal health LED

HP server ML350 G3 won't boot, red internal health LED
2004 time stamp in the manual, so is 15 years old, (a relic really)
and old Generation 3.
1: does the 2 fans blow, 1 in PSU , and CPU ? this be first.
sounds of that is first or you have no power or PSU is bad.
(most the time)
2: does the screen show anything, at all?
like (no signal, no sync, vga cable not connected, or the like?)
or is the screen dead,. 100% dead
ever change out the RTC coin cell inside, they don't last this long,
did you know that?
14 year old coin cell is impossible to be good. a $2 fix too.
if the coin goes bad the BIOS goes nuts, due to loss of data
in the NVRAM the coin cell powers.
replace that then do a BIOS reset, and now it ill boot to HDD 0
if and if HDD is good and if the OS is not corrupted, none stated.

Hello here is others with the same problem:

http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=397434&start=15&tstart=0

It looks like the power button is failing.

The fault could also be the mainboard.

Try also to talk with a autorished dealer or a repair shop.

Good luck

On one of our HP DL360 G5 systems every time after soft reboot the server cannot be booted back. This is 100% reproducible also with Cold boot. Can someone help us find what internal component is...

The simplest way is to check Insight Manager. Type localhost:2301 on a web browser locally. Or, servername:2301 for remote access. You need local Administrator password.
Insight is only available if it was set up with a Smart Start disk. It's that pack that comes with all HP servers, but can be downloaded as well. Best practice is always install.

Don' know what IML is, and ILO has no baring to problems.

There is Insight Manager link on specs.

SP 6000/PS6000E-207PK-EN Will not fire up. If press start, then LEDs flash Orange (1st left) 5 times then 2, then 1 and then repeats. 3rd LED (green) stays on. If battery is removed, start button pressed...

You got some short on board, You need techguy. Or possible Bios flash, Remove the Harddisk and press the power button.
If nothing change, Remove power, battery, cd rom, Hdd, memory.

Then put one stick of memory, power up, see anything comes up.If does, power off, put the other memory plug in power, fire up.
If does ok. Then plug off, and put hdd without CD rom. see if it did work.

If none is worked as I say you have short or CPU fan is not functioning.
Goodluck.

Philips 42PF7220A/37 42'' TV (LED flashes red 7 times)

Five buck solution; If you have any tek skills at all and are feeling adventurous; UNPLUG THE POWER, remove the back panel; You will be faced with the mainboard. In the lower right quadrant you will see two small capacitors, like tiny yellowish coke cans. If these are bulging, there lies your problem. These must be replaced. If you have no soldering skills, take only the mainboard to a fixit shop and have them solder in the two capacitors easily found on line. No guarantee's but worth a try

Internal led of ML350 server is glowing.......how do i resolve it?

Hi Franceso, plz specify
Is it powering ON ?
Which LED is glowing?
These leds are there on the front panel :

1 Power On/Standby button
2 System power LED
Green = Power on
Amber = System shut down, but power still applied
Off = No power

3 Internal health LED (Wave sign in BOX)
Green = Normal
Amber = System degraded. To identify the component in a degraded state, refer to system board LEDs.
Red = System critical. To identify the component in a critical state, refer to system board LEDs.
Off = Normal (when in standby mode)

4 External health LED (power supply)
Green = Normal
Amber = Power redundancy failure
Red = Critical power supply failure
5 NIC 1 activity LED Green = Network link
Flashing = Network link and activity
Off = No link to network.
6 UID LED Blue = Activated
Flashing = System remotely managed
Off = Deactivated
7 UID button

If it is Internal health led then any internal h/w issue is suspected.
If it is external health led then any power supply or power source related issue is suspected.
Also check the status of the server & its IML (Integrated Management Logs) in ilo (Integrated Lights Out ) if it is configured. (2nd RJ45 port in rear)

Also make sure the cabinet is properly closed.

JFP1 connection

Hi Yannick,
For the POWER and RESET connectors, it does not matter which way you connect the pairs. Both ways will work. The HDD LED coupler will only work if connected the right way. You can however try it both ways until the LED works. You cannot damage your board if this is connected the wrong way.
Hope this solves your problem.
