SOURCE: Want to change LCD brightness on Clock Radio

you could try to internally change the brightness, but unless you know a lot about circuits, I wouldn't mess with the internal wiring.

My Emerson clock radio was manufactured in 2001. Model #CKS2000N; S/N10339233BA. Need to set clock for DST. I do not have a "month" year button - only a "time" year button. Can you help? Thank you

For this model Clock radio you will have to call Emerson Customer support at this telephone number.1-800-909-1240 between the hours of 8am-4:30pm CT. Tell them the make and model number of your Clock/Radio and ask them for assistance. You will probably be told that, your Clock/Radio has no updating feature. This is because at that time there was no need for such a feature. The best way to get the new features is to buy a new Clock/Radio. Thank you for using FixYA and have a nice day.

Emerson IC200BK smartset iPod radio - buttons seem to be stuck

You can try taking the battery out and let the microprocessor discharge it charge and unlatch the switch controls function. This should take about a hour to be safe. To do this take the plug about from the wall also. The battery may be bad and need replacing. You can test the battery by putting it back in after you test the radio and clock with the a/c plug only. After the radio and clock return to normal operation. Put the battery back in and see if it work properly and all the function work. If you are still having problems replace the battery. If this does not fix the problem, you will have to call Emerson customer support at this telephone number 1-800-898-9020. Give them the model number of you clock radio and tell them the problem you are having with the failure of the front panel buttons. They will be able to tell you if there is a fix or if you have to send it in for repair. I hope this information helps you with your problem.

This AM it started blinking and will not stop It is less than 1 yr.old.

Sorry it took so long to reply to your question. This look like a problem with the Clock/Radio's Microprocessor. You will need to reset the microprocessor by removing all power sources to the microprocessor. This means removing the Clock/Radio from the A/C power source and removing the internal battery (CR2430). After removing all the power sources from the Clock/Radio, let the Clock/Radio set for a period of about 3 hours. This will let the power completely drain from the microprocessor and reset it to the factory settings. You can then reinsert the internal battery and plug the Clock/Radio into the A/C power source. The Clock/Radio should have reset and the functions returned to normal operations. If The Clock/Radio functions have not returned to normal. You will need to let the Clock/Radio's microprocessor drain off the power again and put a new internal battery (CR2430). Then test the Clock/Radio's functions again. The Clock/Radio functions should have returned to normal operation. If you are still having problems getting the Clock/Radio to return to normal operation. You can call the Emerson customer support at this telephone number 1-800-909-1240- Call them between the hours of 8am to 4:30pm central time USA. Give them the make and model number of your Clock/Radio and ask them for their assistance. I hope this information helps you with your problem. Thank you for using FixYa and have a nice day

Caller ID Screen not working

Sorry it took so long to reply to your problem. You must try to reset the Clock/Radio's microprocessor. To do this you must disconnect the Clock/Radio from the A/C power source and remove the internal battery. Let the Clock/Radio set without any power source for about 3 hours. This should completely drain all the power from the microprocessor. After this is done, reinsert the internal battery and plug the Clock/Radio into the A/C power source. The Clock/Radio's functions should return to normal. If they do not return to normal. Unplug the Clock/Radio from the A/C power source and remove the internal battery. Replace the internal Battery (CR2430). Let the Clock/Radio again drain all the power from the microprocessor. Insert the new battery and Plug the Clock/Radio into the A/C power source. The Clock/Radio's functions should return to normal. If you should still be having problem with the functions of the Clock/Radio, you will need to call Emerson Customer Support. The telephone number for Emerson Customer Support is 1-800-909-1240. Call them between the hours of 8am-4:30pm CT. Give them the make and model number of the Clock/Radio and ask them for assistance with your problem. I hope this information help you with your problem.
