Use wd-40 or p.b.blaster to loosen but it is very (very) common to have to use a grinder or a roto-zip-saw metal cutting blade top cut-off an electrode bolt. even high-end grills are not using nigh-quality, expensive stainless for an electrode bracket or a screw.

SOURCE: my dacor grill wont ignite. I has to getting

The lights are run off of a transfomer that plugs in to a 110 outlet. The ingiter, most likely, runs off of a battery. If you can unscrew the cap on the igniter, there may be a AA or AAA battery behind the cap. If there is no cap, just a button, then there is probably a 9 Volt battery somewhere on the unit. If you have a single spark piezo igniter there will be no battery, they just wear out over time.

SOURCE: How to replace Spark igniters

The electrodes are only held on by 2 screws going into the front panel inside the grill. If you remove the screws (quiet often they're siezed so sometimes they have to be chiselled off) and pull it forward, you can disconnect the wire on the back and connect the new one. If you need any further assistance then please just ask.

Grill master 4 yrs old. Ingniters work, but will

When you can see the electrodes sparking but not igniting the burner this usually means one of the module plugs needs to be grounded. When that happens the strong sparking is on the module and the arc at the electrode is very weak.
Positioning is also important. Will gas come from burner and be at the spark or is the spark at the tip of the electrode 3" away? It is totally normal to make adjustments to the electrode just like setting the gap on a spark plug.

Ignitor keeps sparking on infrared burner. Burner will ignite if i turn on. Sparks when any lower burner is on.

the valve has a tab that connects with another tab when pressed in to close a circuit, cause spark. The wires coming off the module are chained from valve to valve with separate wires running from the valve to the electrode of each. Basic maintenance: make sure connections are tight, if metal is exposed wrap with electrical tape. You're getting a short from one of them jumping off the spade connection. Remove the control panel and just check the wires, clean the tabs and you'll fix this.

My dacor microwave convection oven won't turn or heat but but the exhaust, time etc. works.

I found the answer on other posts on this website and it saved me $500! I had the same problem with my Dacor Model ECD2278 double oven. After I ran the self cleaning the top oven would not come on and the lower oven ran almost double the temp that was set. To fix: disconnect power to the oven at the circuit breaker. Open the oven door. You'll see the grille/grate/steel cover in front of the door latch mechanism, and it should have about 4 screws holding it in place. Remove the screws then remove the grille cover. On my model the tiny red reset button was on the right side on top of a black plastic round piece which is about 1" in diameter. Press the little button down til it clicks.

I have an electrolux EOG6330 gas oven and when I light the grill the igniter continues to spark, the only wayto stop it,is to turn the grill off.Any body know what causes it and how to sort it?

Hello dishboy,

There are 2 possibilites causing that

1) The electrode(spark plug) for the grill is is built up with a bunch of grime and not telling the spark module the burner is lit and turn off the spark. The electrode could be cleaned with the green srubby side if a kitchen sponge,or relpaced.

2) The electrode is telling the spark module to turn off but the spark module isn't responding, to turn off the spark. The spark module would need to be replaced

I hope this helps,

I replaced the 2 igniters and still neither one of them will sparc to light the gas on fire. I replaced the batteries as well.

Check where spark occurs in grill, you will see an electrode. This area gets covered in grease and causes ignitor not to spark. Also make sure this electrode is close to metal so it will spark.

If you place a flame on the electrode tip and it starts to spark shortly afterward, replace the electrode.
