My 2 1/2 yr old Mitsubishi 65 inch DLP will not turn on.E code 12

My 2 1/2 year old Mitsubishi 65 inch DLP will not turn on. I tried to turn it on last night and the tv seemed to power up but no picture was present. I tried to reset, and the same thing happened. I examined the lamp and it appeared fine. I pressed the Menu and Input buttons together and the error code is 12(No error detected). When I turn the power on the Green Timer light illuminates and I hear the TV beginning to boot up and then after 20 seconds or so the TV turns off. I was wondering if anyone has a solution to this? Any professional input is appreciated.

Let it start up you will here things happening, engine will start first then a buzz to start the lamp if you here all of this you have a bad lamp. You should have a error code let the tv try to start leave it alone and see if you have an error. As soon as you reset the tv you loose the error.

Fan noise running when tv is on

Mitsubishi rear projection DLP keeps turning off and shutting down. The red light then turns on for a while and then turns off. TV can be turned on again and works fine until a random shutdown occurs again. No fault codes are stored. No blink codes. No airflow warning messages. The original thermal sensor was replaced 8-1/2 years ago. Fans are completely clean and running smoothly. I fixed this problem by replacing the 8.5-year-old thermal sensor. The problem is gone. Mitsubishi thermal sensor part number 299P313010A. Manufacturer part number YS11A95B-C6. Do not use the connector plug. Strip the wires, and hard wire and solder the 2 connections. This might also apply to these models: WD-52631, WD-57731, WD-57732, WD-65732, WD-57831, WD-65831, WD-Y57, WD-Y65

Mitsubishi dlp wd-65638 with error code 61. What is this error code? How do I fix? no picture or audio.

if the power LED is flashing green then there is a circuit or board that either has a blown fuse or relay. if it comes on solid red when you turn on the television then the Lamp inside is burned out and needs replaced. Before you spend all the money that changing the bulb would cost i would invest that money in a good LED Smart TV instead. Sometimes you just gotta let that old technology go away.

I am familiar with this model, if 8 years old do not invest any money in it as most parts are no longer available from Philips.

Saw a lot of them when only a few years old get junked.

We are having white dots appearing on our Mitsubishi DLP 65 inch television, approx. 3 years old. It looks like a constellation is appearing. New dot every day.

That means you need to replace the Optical Unit Block/Light Engine.Dmd board has been known to cause this also, but most of the companys replace Dmd and optical unit.

Hi,
looked up owners manual that was a waste of time, hmm the number one issue on this type of set is issues with the lamp. How old is it? Has it ever been replaced? Sometimes a visual inspection of lamp can fool you, but typically as they age a milky haze develops on the lamps glass or if it popped the lamp will be shatttered inside. Can't hurt to check it. make sure set is unplugged first just to be safe.

New bulb/TV still shuts down

Its far more likely the result of the power pwb capacitors that have failed. As the 34 code will appear if the capacitors fail on the Power PWB. You can get the V26 DLP Power repair kit at the following link.with free instructions
