you need 'your' username and password, not just any one. If you don't know it, use your email address, and if you don't know the password, recover it/go through the password recovery process. (click on lost password)
I am afraid you can't do anything if you lost both username and password. If you have changed settings, enter your phone number as username and do forgot password.
Just go to the Gmail.com sign in page, and under the boxes for Username and Password is a blue button to sign in. Just below and to the right of that is a "Need Help?" link to click on, which leads you to help solving lost username, lost passwords, and other problems.

I got your issue, Inorder to reset the username and password to the default setting the only way is to reset the router , look on the router you will have a pin hole button, push that reset button for 10 -20 sec. Then you can login to the router using username 'smcadmin', password - 'admin' or 'blank'.
There's no way that you can restore a lost password of your router. The only way you can do is to reset it to factory default and you must know the default username and password of your router. Some of the router manufacturers uses: admin for username and pass for password, some just leaves the password blank but put admin for the username.
Get the user manual to verify how to make a master reset on your router. There should be a small button inside a very little hole, on the back, that you should press with a pen.
If you purchased it from comcast, the default username is comcast, default password is 1234. If not, please post back details of where it came from and I should be able to assist you with the default password.
