Water won't prime through the clearyl white filter

I pulled this info from the manual. I am including a pic and the link. Hopefully this is helpful.

If you do not want to use the CLEARYL filter cartridge Blue, you will need to set the water hardness. The following water hardness settings are available: Water hardness Symbol(s) shown in display Level 1: 1-15 °dH 1 symbol illuminated Y Level 2: 16-23 °dH 2 symbols illuminated Y < Level 3: 24-30 °dH 3 symbols illuminated Y < > & T Touch the Descaling symbol. The Y, < and & symbols light up. T Touch the Y, < or > symbol to set the water hardness, e.g. symbol Y for 'level 1'. The Y and & symbols light up. & T Touch the Descaling symbol. The Water Tank symbol M lights up. T Place a receptacle under the coffee spout. T Remove the water tank. T Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water and reinsert it. The Y, < and > symbols flash. The system fills with water and the water flows directly into the drip tray. The operation stops automatically. The machine heats up. The Y, < and > symbols flash. The machine is rinsed, water flows out of the coffee spout. The rinse stops automatically. The Ristretto Y, Espresso < and Coffee > symbols and the symbol for 'strong' coffee strength _ light up. Your ENA is ready for use.

Reinstall the fuel filter after you clean out the fuel lines. Sounds like something is trapped in the line causing a blockage.

Pumps don't need to be backwashed, some filters do. Sand and DE filters need to be backwashed when the filter pressure has increased to 10 or 11 psi. depending on the manufacturers recommendation. The cartridge filter cannot be backwashed but instead it is removed and a hose sprayer is used to clean out the dirty outside. Your pump does need to be primed so it is not trying to pump mostly air. Each time the pump basket area is low in water then it needs to be primed. You will know how low it can go before it needs to be priming by turning it on when it is low and if it cannot start pumping water at full rate then at that level of water it needs to priming. If it is pumping water at full flow and you turn it off it should not need re-priming because there is enough water in it to force the air through the system. I hope this helps.

It sounds like your pool filter is not getting proper suction. This could be cause by several things. The simplest suggestion is to check your pump and filter basket for debris that could be clogging water flow. There could also be restrictions in the intake or discharge lines. The next step would be to check for an air leak in the lines or cracks in the the pump. You could also try to backwash your filter to see if that helps and make sure that your pump is primed.

The white smoke usually means there is water in the fuel. The fuel filters are made to swell and you may have a separater that needs draining.

You will probably go through several filters if you do not have a separater. You may be able to add an additive to get the water to dry out.

When you change the fuel filter be sure to prime it with fresh fuel.

does your ice maker work OK ? if yes , do you have a inline water filter in the upper right hand section of your refrigerator at the rear ? if yes , replace the filter and follow the directions on the new filter to properly prime the water dispenser line. if the unit will not prime with the new filter installed, you'll probably have to replace the water dispenser control valve located at the bottom rear of the refrigerator where the main supply water line goes into the refrigerator.

Need to prime the machine. The new water filter is causing the air lock in the system.Remove the filter and startup the machine it should prime by itself, when it's ready,fit the filter back and press hot water until the water flows steady. Hope it helps.

i think its pump side first as its easier to push water through a filter rarther than trying to **** it , Also the only reason it could loose its prime is through air getting in the system.

You need to manually prime it using the priming bulb that came with it. Instructions are in the manual. Remove water tank. Fill priming bulb. Hold priming bulb on water inlet. They don't inter-connect, so just hold it on there as best you can. Turn the machine on, turn steam knob on, and gently, slowly squeeze the bulb to force water into the machine. It works best when the machine is cold, because you want to get liquid water in there, and not have it displaced by steam.
